"Yu Ting! Are you crazy?!"

As Yu Ting expected, it took less than half an hour for Old Master Yu's call to reach her, the sound deafening.

Not wanting his words to affect Ran Ling, Yu Ting stepped outside and replied casually, "What's wrong?"

"What are you doing?! Are you out of your mind?!"

"I'm not crazy."

Yu Ting walked over to the terrace, turned around, and stated more directly, "Didn't you say it didn't matter who I married?"

Old Master Yu fell silent for a few seconds. Yu Ting could hear the sound of something shattering, likely a teacup.

"Do you even know what you're doing?! Marrying Ran Ling... what will the Ran family think?"

Yu Ting retorted, "Does it matter?"

"Grandpa, I'm already married. You don't have to worry about whether I'm crazy or not. The important thing is everyone around me knows I'm married to Ran Ling. This matter has become a done deal. You don't need to be so angry; your anger won't change anything. What's the point of scolding me? It only hurts my feelings."

"You... you..."

Old Master Yu threw another teacup. He could hardly believe Yu Ting would rebel to such an extent, treating marriage like a game, marrying whoever she wanted.

"Rebellious girl, rebellious girl... rebellious girl!" It was truly difficult for him to accept. "Crazy! Do you even have feelings for her? You just...!"

Yu Ting chuckled lightly, her eyes bending into an innocent crescent shape. "Just like you said before, if not, we could have Yu Hao marry Ran Xue instead. As long as it's a marriage alliance, it doesn't matter who marries whom, isn't that what you meant? I'm not actually going against your wishes..."

Yu Ting paused and said earnestly, "This result is very good. Stop breaking teacups; have a cup of tea to calm down if you don't want this farce to continue."

......

There were still two hours until dinner.

Old Master Yu threw a huge fit at the old residence. According to the housekeeper, several private doctors had arrived to stay at the house, fearing he might have a health crisis due to his anger. The housekeeper advised Yu Ting to go home and comfort Old Master Yu.

Yu Ting calmly waited for a while, and then the housekeeper called to say that Old Master Yu had accepted the situation.

What was there to not accept? After all, the certificate had already been obtained; it wouldn't make sense for her to divorce and then marry Ran Xue. That would be too dramatic, and Old Master Yu would never joke with the Yu family's reputation.

In the evening, they had dinner with the Ran couple as usual.

During their time in the café, Ran Ling received several messages from Ran Long, who had quickly discovered what was going on. It was unclear whether Ran Xue had gone to report her. In any case, both Ran Long and Zheng Qinyan were mentally prepared for the situation before attending the dinner. After all, they were shrewd businessmen prioritizing their interests. The couple had arrived early and waited in the private room, greeting Old Master Yu as they had in the past, chatting and laughing without revealing a hint of discomfort.

"My legs aren't good; I'm late, I'm late..."

"Your legs aren't good? I know an orthopedic specialist; I'll ask him to come over and check on you."
