"Who would have thought the first among us to get married would be you? Just like before, you always manage to surprise people." As the outdoor banquet came to a close, the sky had completely darkened. During the toasting segment, Yu Ting was teased by a few high school classmates.

Yu Ting and Ran Ling had changed out of their elaborate wedding dresses into simple evening gowns, holding hands affectionately, drawing envious glances from those around them.

"Was I really the first? Did you kick her out because she didn't come?" Yu Ting said.

The classmates were momentarily stunned before laughing, "Oh, it really seems that way; we almost forgot about her."

"But speaking of which, if I hadn't just witnessed it myself, I wouldn't have believed it. Yu Ting, you're really married now! You two are such a good match; just looking at you feels like you're a natural pair."

Yu Ting smiled, "You're still so good at flattering people."

"Do you remember? Back in high school, Ah Ting wore a similar white dress to host on stage. At that time, I thought it looked like a wedding dress, but yours is so much prettier! Who designed it? Is it expensive?"

Hearing this, Yu Ting turned her head to look at the obviously softened Ran Ling beside her, proudly saying, "It was designed by Ling Jie."

"Wow, it was actually designed by your wife! That's incredible; Yu Ting, you're so lucky..."

Ran Ling smiled faintly, lips pressed together.

After chatting excitedly with their enthusiastic friends for a while, Yu Ting habitually glanced at Ran Ling, only to find her lost in thought, seemingly pondering something.

"Are you tired?" Yu Ting leaned close and asked softly.

Ran Ling came back to her senses and shook her head.

"It'll be over soon," Yu Ting said, gently rubbing her hand to soothe her.

—Mm.

Ran Ling nodded, feeling a bit embarrassed. Yu Ting would never know that she wasn't tired; she had just been savoring the word "wife" in her mind.

Happy new marriage, may you have a hundred years of harmony. This marked a certain day in June of Yu Ting's twenty-seventh year.

By the time the event had fully concluded, it was deep into the night, and the Yu family had arranged accommodations for all guests. At this moment, Yu Ting and Ran Ling had returned to their room—of course, they would share the same room on their wedding night.

Ran Ling had already finished washing up first while Yu Ting was still in the bathroom.

The suite had only one bedroom with a large bed. It was decorated in a somewhat dreamy way, like a bridal chamber.

After showering and feeling the day's fatigue and drifting thoughts wash away, Yu Ting found that Ran Ling was not in the bedroom. She casually dried her hair and stepped out, seeing Ran Ling standing in front of the open kitchen.

Ran Ling had changed into a light pink nightgown after showering. Her long, dark hair, still slightly damp, naturally fell over her shoulders, nearly reaching her waist. The white light fell on her, making her appear slender and ethereal...

She was gently tinkering with something. As Yu Ting approached, calling out, "Ling Jie."

Ran Ling turned her head, her gaze shimmering like stars reflected in a night stream—fractured and swaying.

"What are you doing? If you need something, just call room service..."

Yu Ting fell silent, realizing that Ran Ling had already prepared something.
