Yu Ting, of course, caught that brief moment, but she remained expressionless.

The staff member, seeing that Ran Ling had arrived, quickly went to greet her. He hadn't noticed that the atmosphere between the two, though they were still far apart, had already become subtle. He even reminded her, "Miss Ran, President Yu is over there waiting for you. It seems she has something to discuss with you."

"......" Ran Ling didn't respond.

"Miss Ran?" Zhao Xin gently reminded her. Ran Ling glanced at her, and Zhao Xin understood what she meant.

Zhao Xin asked the staff member, "What's the matter?"

The staff member hesitated, then looked over at Yu Ting. Yu Ting was standing expressionless, watching them.

Why wasn't Miss Ran going to her? President Yu was right there.

He was confused but still explained, "President Yu suggested that, for the wedding, you enter the hall on your own, without being escorted by your father, unlike a traditional couple. Miss Ran, what do you think? Should we check with Mr. Ran about this?"

Ran Ling nodded silently. Zhao Xin spoke for her, "Miss Ran says that's fine."

"Okay, shall I inform President Yu?" The staff member walked off, still perplexed.

After he left, Ran Ling inadvertently made eye contact with Yu Ting again. Yu Ting was staring at her intently, but Ran Ling, with a cool expression, quickly averted her gaze once more, not offering Yu Ting even a glance.

Ran Ling was angry.

It was the first time Yu Ting had seen her like this, and the first time she realized that "gentleness" and "distance" could coexist in one person. So Ran Ling could ignore her, could get angry, could even act indifferent towards her.

Even though Yu Ting liked her deeply, missed her, and had privately given so much, when they met again after a month, Ran Ling didn't greet her with the same joy and affection she used to.

Throughout the first half of the rehearsal, Ran Ling treated Yu Ting as if she were invisible, sitting far away, minding her own business, completely ignoring Yu Ting.

Gradually, others around them began to sense the tension, but no one dared to ask, and everyone became more cautious.

Yu Ting, however, wasn't in a hurry to approach her.

As the rehearsal reached the latter part, following the sequence, Ran Ling, holding a bouquet, walked into the hall, slowly approaching Yu Ting, who was watching her with a faint smile.

When they were face to face, and perhaps because of the procedure—or maybe Yu Ting's own intentions—she extended her hand as if to take Ran Ling's. When their hands touched, Ran Ling pulled away.

"Miss Ling..."

Yu Ting started calling her that now, lowering her head and asking softly, "What's wrong?"

"Why aren't you talking to me? Are you mad at me?" Yu Ting's tone was playful, as if coaxing her, even though she already knew the answer.

Ran Ling remained cold, clearly still upset, and didn't respond.

"Alright, now the priest will recite the vows. After that, Miss Yu, you'll say 'I do,' and Miss Ran will just nod. Be sure to nod clearly. Afterward, you exchange rings, and then there's the kiss. Is that okay? Or would you prefer to skip the kiss? You could hug, or even just touch cheeks—anything is fine..." The staff member, aware that Yu Ting had been off on a month-long vacation, seemingly carefree and indifferent toward Miss Ran, and now seeing their apparent cold war, spoke nervously.
