"Miss Shi, are you here to find Miss Yu?" The receptionist greeted Shi Yi warmly as she entered, clearly familiar with her.

Shi Yi was Yu Ting's ex-girlfriend. They often came to Hear to drink and relax when they were together, and the staff who had spent a considerable amount of time there all knew her.

As for why they were so warm to the boss's ex, that was clearly due to the boss herself. It wasn't uncommon for Yu Ting to drink and chat with her exes. She said that everyone she dated was a friend, and friends should be treated warmly, so it was natural for her subordinates to follow suit.

"Yes," the receptionist said. "But Miss Yu is in a private room discussing business with a client right now. She's still inside. Do you want me to go in and notify her?"

Shi Yi adjusted her mood, casually found a seat, and ordered a Dry Martini.

It felt like she was drinking alone, and during her wait, several people approached her for conversation. She appeared uninterested, coldly dismissing them until they gradually stopped trying.

Shi Yi didn't have a fierce appearance; when she smiled, she looked gentle. However, her personality was on the cooler side, and she remained indifferent to things that didn't interest her, often displaying a strong-willed demeanor.

Yu Ting had mentioned that she disliked drunks, which was why she had sipped her drink for nearly an hour without finishing it. The resident guitarist had taken a break for water, and another girl had taken the stage, singing a sad song that matched the atmosphere.

Another half hour passed when someone came down from the second-floor private room, calling out, "Miss Yu, are you done?"

Yu Ting was accompanied by her client, a woman dressed in a casual suit, with shoulder-length hair and a somewhat mixed-race appearance. She looked to be in her forties, with sharp eyes that exuded intelligence, especially having the aura of a more mature woman. Anyone who saw her could tell that she was someone people coveted, contemplating asking for her WeChat. But her strong demeanor intimidated many, leaving them hesitant. As a result, no one managed to seize the opportunity even when Yu Ting walked her to the door.

After sending the client off, Yu Ting returned to the tavern and walked over to the table where she had just greeted a few people, chatting amiably.

Shi Yi did not approach directly but observed from a distance.

Cora, who had been eager to ask for WeChat but lacked the courage, handed Yu Ting a drink. "Miss Yu, who was that stunning executive just now? So beautiful!"

Yu Ting took a sip from her glass. The drink was bitter at first, with a strong alcohol taste, but it turned smooth moments later. She casually replied, "The car hasn't gone far; you can ask her yourself."

Cora complained, "Ah, so stingy! You won't even give me a hint?"

Yu Ting said, "Don't think about it. A few months ago, she just got married with her girlfriend abroad."

Cora exclaimed, "Damn, it seems like everyone except me is happy in the world!"

Others chimed in, "Exactly! Even A Ting quietly got married."

"And A Qiu just had a wedding with her girlfriend in Bali recently."

"Really? Is that true? Who is her girlfriend?"

"I don't know; I haven't been in touch with her. I just heard she got married to someone who seems to be a university professor."
