Without thinking, Yu Ting asked, "Where are you?"

The woman gave her the address. After looking it up, Yu Ting found that the bar Ran Ling was at was nearby. She drove over and arrived in less than ten minutes.

Pushing her way into the noisy, chaotic environment, Yu Ting searched for Ran Ling's silhouette based on the woman's description over the phone. She saw Ran Ling slumped sideways on the table.

Dressed in a white floral long dress with smooth, straight black hair cascading down her back, Ran Ling's skin glowed a delicate white under the dim lights, giving her an elegant and gentle appearance. Yet, this beautiful woman was getting drunk, with several opened bottles of liquor on the table and a glass filled with ice and liquor that she was gulping down.

Another woman sitting beside her leaned over to comfort her, trying to stop her, "Enough, don't drink anymore. How much have you had? Can you even drink? Honestly..."

Yu Ting quickly walked over. The woman comforting Ran Ling looked up at her, a friendly smile on her lips, "Hello."

Yu Ting didn't bother to greet the woman and reached for Ran Ling's glass. "Don't drink anymore."

Her move was somewhat rough, causing Ran Ling to lose her balance, pressing her forehead against the table. Her brows furrowed tightly, her face flushed red, as if it were on fire. Even her shoulders were hot. The bottles on the table were already half-empty, and Yu Ting supported her, frowning deeply. "Why have you drunk so much?"

The woman beside them spoke up, "Xiao Ling never drinks, and she can't handle alcohol. Did you two... have a fight?"

Yu Ting looked up at the woman, noticing she was quite distinct.

With fox-like eyes, delicate brows, a straight nose, and a slight smile, she wore a black V-neck long dress over a white blazer, her light makeup accentuating her elegance, yet there was a sharpness hidden beneath it.

Yu Ting had a keen sense of intuition, and the woman's presence was too strong; it felt like an unspoken understanding passed between them in just a second.

"No fight," Yu Ting replied.

"Really?" The woman nodded, saying no more.

Yu Ting discreetly assessed her. "Are you a friend of Ling Jie?"

"Yes," the woman said, her eyes crinkling into a smile, making her features hard to see clearly. Her tone was gentle: "Xiao Ling and I are old classmates. However, I was busy during your wedding and couldn't attend. Miss Yu probably doesn't know me."

"What a shame..." Yu Ting pondered for a moment and asked, "Did Ling Jie ask you out for a drink?"

The woman hesitated, sensing the underlying meaning in her question. "Oh, no, that's not it."

She smiled and explained, "She didn't tell me she was coming, but this bar is mine. I happened to be here and ran into her. When I saw she had missed calls on her phone with 'Ting Ting' noted, I figured it was you and called you back."

So, she came to drink at someone else's bar. Yu Ting nodded, "Thank you for looking after her."

"Not at all, Miss Yu, you're too polite. Xiao Ling is also my friend; it's only natural to take care of her. I was worried about her getting into trouble since I've hardly seen her drink before—I even thought I might have mistaken her for someone else." The woman glanced at the dazed Ran Ling in Yu Ting's arms, paused for a moment, then smiled, "But I have a little something to take care of, so I'll leave Xiao Ling to you."
