"Let's order, what do you want to eat?" Fang Chi handed the menu to Ran Ling.

Ran Ling didn't take it and smiled at her using sign language: 【Anything is fine with me.】

Fang Chi smiled back and didn't press her: "Okay, then I'll order whatever."

Ran Ling nodded.

Fang Chi casually ordered a few signature dishes, and the waiter took the menu away. The two were sitting by the window; it was a cloudy day, the sky darkened, and the weather forecast said it would rain soon.

Ran Ling leaned back in her chair, tilting her head to look at the sky. Fang Chi gazed at her profile, regretfully asking, "Have you really decided to leave?"

Ran Ling nodded.

She signed: 【It's time to go back.】

So this was a farewell meal between her and Fang Chi as colleagues. When Fang Chi received her invitation, she understood what it meant, feeling a twinge of reluctance. She bought a bouquet of flowers to pick Ran Ling up, trying to find a way to keep her from leaving.

However, it seemed she bought the wrong flowers; Ran Ling didn't like pink bellflowers.

Fang Chi fell silent, contemplating, before finally asking her, "Do you... still like her?"

Ran Ling, lost in thought as she looked at the overcast sky, came back to her senses upon hearing Fang Chi's question. She turned to face her, smiling gently.

That was the answer.

Fang Chi half-jokingly said, "Don't you really consider me?"

Ran Ling replied: 【You will meet someone better.】

Fang Chi tilted her head and sighed, "Miss Ran, you're the most enchanting woman I've ever met. I'm afraid it will be hard for me to forget you."

Ran Ling chuckled lightly: 【You will forget, being far apart and with time, your memories will fade away.】

It was the first time Fang Chi had seen her express such certainty about a viewpoint, and it wasn't entirely meant to persuade her to let go.

"Xiao Ling, do you have experience in this area?"

Should I go? Should I leave?

Sitting in the car, Yu Ting gripped the steering wheel tightly, fixating on the two people in the glass window on the second floor. They had already started their meal... Yu Ting's inner turmoil made it hard for her to breathe.

Why did Fang Chi always appear beside Ran Ling? Why was Ran Ling not replying to her messages and instead going out on a date with Fang Chi?

Why?

Why? Hadn't she just gained some points yesterday? Wasn't that a sign of goodwill?

Was this revenge? Was Ran Ling really getting back at her? Was she trying to give Yu Ting a taste of the pain she once inflicted on her, making her understand the hurt?

So this is how painful it is, seeing the person you love with someone else. She shouldn't have treated Ran Ling like that in the past; it was all her fault, all her fault...

Yu Ting forced herself to stay rational.

What would happen if she went up to find her? It would embarrass Ran Ling; Ling Jie would be disappointed in her, thinking she was still selfish and couldn't change. Would that newly added 1% progress bar be taken away?

No, she couldn't be so domineering; she couldn't make Ran Ling uncomfortable. If she did, she might really lose her...

Yu Ting suddenly jerked the steering wheel and made a U-turn.
