Yu Ting exited the photo and typed: "What's behind you?"

Ran Ling: "!"

It seemed the woman only just realized she had exposed something shameful. Yu Ting, unable to wait for her reply, was about to click into the photo again for a closer look when, unexpectedly, Ran Ling retracted the photo.

It was gone; all the charming images of Ran Ling seemed like a mirage. Yet the remnants lingered clearly in her mind, arousing her desire for a more detailed examination. Teased and left wanting, Yu Ting felt a surge of restlessness in her heart and typed: "Send it to me."

Ran Ling didn't reply.

Yu Ting sent another message: "Show me your tail."

Still, there was no response from Ran Ling.

It seemed she wasn't going to acknowledge her anymore.

"Hey, what are you doing? Are we still playing?" When it was her turn, Huo Su Yu nudged her and glanced at her phone. "Who are you chatting with? It's your turn."

Yu Ting pressed the phone screen off and picked up the dice, clearly distracted.

"Who are you talking to?" Huo Su Yu teased meaningfully.

Yu Ting didn't respond.

The game wasn't taken seriously, but thanks to her familiarity, Yu Ting won this round. She looked down at her phone again; the chat window was silent—Ran Ling hadn't messaged her back.

What was she doing?

Was it deliberate?

Yu Ting typed: "Sister Ling, what are you doing?"

Yu Ting: "Are you teasing me?"

Ran Ling still hadn't replied. The game became a bit tedious; after several rounds, Yu Ting remained distracted.

"Who's on your mind?" Huo Su Yu asked, frowning. "Where did your usual confidence go? Are you not focused when playing with me?"

Yu Ting furrowed her brow and pretended to be annoyed. She softly said to Huo Su Yu, "It's too stuffy here; I'll step outside for some air."

After saying that, she stood up. Huo Su Yu watched her leave and reminded her, "Come back quickly."

The private room had a terrace. Yu Ting pushed open the glass door and stepped out, immediately entering a huge steamer; the summer night in the capital was far more unbearable than in Yun City, and even the breeze carried a heat that stirred irritation.

It was uncomfortable.

Yu Ting leaned against the railing, holding her phone, and subconsciously reached for a cigarette. Suddenly, she heard some strange noises and turned her head to see two women in the shadows nearby, embracing each other. One of the blonde women reached behind to sneak her hand inside the other's clothing, lightly teasing her bra strap.

They were kissing passionately; even from a distance, Yu Ting could hear the sounds of their kisses.

Lost in thought for a moment, Yu Ting turned her face back. She had no interest in watching strangers kiss and was about to get up and leave when the glass door opened again, and a woman in a red dress stepped out.

Yu Ting recognized her as the woman who had sat across from her at the table earlier. She seemed quite familiar with everything here, clearly a regular.

Without any hesitation or subtlety, she stared directly at Yu Ting. Yu Ting smiled and welcomed her as she approached, the woman lifted her hand to her chest and waved slightly. "Hello~"
