C6. Ang Boss

Marco's POV

Kararating lang namin from Batangas. Kagabi ay biglang nagyaya si mommy na mag overnight kami sa Batangas, just to breath some air.

Kaya naman, pare-pareho kaming absent kanina, pati na rin ang triplets. Sobrang stressed na rin kasi daddy at ako sa trabaho because of the Smith Deal idagdag pa ang bagong target namin na Zimmer-Elizalde Ventures. Kaya naisipan ni mommy na magbakasyon muna kahit isang araw lang.

At malaking bagay 'yon.

Nakapag isip-isip ako. And I decided to move on. Completely.

Habang hawak ko pa rin ang pagmamahal ko kay Lara, ang alaala niya at lahat ng pinagsamahan namin ay hindi ako makakaahon.

Hanggang ngayon ay nasa process pa rin ako ng acceptance. And it's really hard, lalo pa at magkaka-anak na sya sa bestfriend niya.

Mapait akong napangiti.

I should have known better. I should have trusted my instincts.

She told me na aksidente ang nangyari. They got drunk and got wasted. At may nangyari sa kanila.

But I don't think it's alcohol.

It's the hidden desire in their hearts or rather, should I say, Lara's hidden desire for her bestfriend, Paul. Dahil alam ko naman na matagal ng may pagtingin si Paul kay Lara. Hindi ko lamang 'yon pinagtuunan ng pansin dahil ako ang mahal ni Lara. And more than anything else, I trust her.

Pero ang hirap palang mag tiwala.

Sa sobrang tiwala ay naloko ako at nasaktan. And I couldn't help but to get bitter about it.

Pinindeho nila ako. Pinagtaksilan!

But I learned my lesson. This will never happen again. And that's a promise.

" Thanks Rina. You may leave now. Tell these people that I'll meet them individually today. Just organize my schedule. " utos ko sa kanya while flipping the profiles one by one.

" Yes sir. " yun lamang at umalis na sya.

As I can see, very competent and qualified, ang mga na-hire ni mom. Of course, she has the best taste. Except for one....

The Internal Auditor Head.

Being the head, she must have an ample amount years of experience of at least 5 years. Pero 2 months lang sya sa auditing firm. And just a year in Internal audit sa isang mall.

I think I have to call mom about this.

I was about to grab my phone when somebody knocked at my door.

It's mommy.

" Hi mommy! I was about to call you. " sabi ko. Saka ako tumayo and gave her a kiss.

" What about? " she asked.

" About the IA mom. I think she's not qualified. "

She arched her brow on me and sit on the receiving area.

" Paano mo nasabi? "

" Inexperienced sya, 'my. All in all 2 years lang ang experience nya. Which is at least 5 years experience. Maybe she's competitive, but she lacks experience." I explained.
