Reaper had never felt more alone in his life, staring blankly while he looked over Reapertale, his feathers shifting with every breeze that sent a chill down his spine. He wasn't sure how he was alive again and it felt more like a punishment then a gift, the memories of before feeling like a constant condemnation, feeling so much shame he could almost choke on it.

The feel of becoming dust to a crazed winged Dream was still fresh, who had manically laughed while mockingly throwing all of his mistakes back at his face. It had been the longest hour of his life and made his SOUL shiver in pain when he realized how bad a father he was.

He had no clue where Geno had gone but he wasn't sure he even wanted to see them, the words they had said to him made his SOUL hurt, unsure what had happened to the mate he had so loved or had he been so blind to not see their true self?

He felt so very alone despite being surrounded by so many SOULS of the other gods, the lack of presence of Goth were they even called that anymore? truly being the nail in the coffin to show how much he had failed.

"That.. is the look of someone who lost there rose glasses" a soft voice said.

Reaper looked towards the voice, his broken gaze meeting an odd looking monster but unable to muster much emotion despite how easily they had snuck up on him.

"You could say that." His voice broke halfway through, a few tears falling down his face, rather surprised as he thought he had run out of tears by now.

"Goth wasn't caught in the reset, he's safe and happy" Hearth said studying the Reaper, sighing as he realized there mental state.

"He is?" Reaper said with fragile hope, an obviously broken monster after the RESET, even his black wings dull and fragile due to his own magic reacting to his inner turmoil.

He didn't dare ask for more, not believing he deserved it after all the actions and inactions he had done to what should have been his greatest joy.

"It wasn't entirely your fault you know, but many of it was your choices" Hearth said walking over, he sat down beside Reaper.

Reaper stared back out at the view with a morose look, a few flight feathers falling from his back and carried away by the wind but he didn't care, his mind full of troubling thoughts.

"..Goth came out so small. We weren't sure if he'd even make it some days with how fragile he looked." He said quietly, unsure why he shared this but something about the rainbow winged monster made the words just come out.

"He came so close to my domain the first year of life and then Geno vanished and i had to care for such a tiny bonelette who seemed far too aware for someone so young...." He near choked out the words, the fear still strong despite how many years it had been since the event but now releasing keeping his distance out of fear of dusting his child, had caused more harm then good in the end.

"He's still tiny, he has a familiar now" Hearth said, and pulled out a picture he had taken a day ago.

Karma was in his bedroom laying on his carpet playing with Nix, the room clearly a forest theme of some type. There face was truly happy and smiling, Nix clearly loving there monster.

"He looks so healthy and his wings are so beautiful." Reaper whispered as he shakily traced their features with a finger, a wobbly smile on his face when spotted the cat by the babybones, knowing how much they had liked animals.

It hurt to realize he couldn't remember the last time Goth had smiled like that in front of him, the pain in his SOUL only worsening as his failures were laid out right in front of him.
