Still grooving with philippaki
"..this looks radioactive. Is this even safe to drink?~" Oneiro said dubiously at the green glowing vial that Hearth held out to him, unsure if he even wanted to touch it let alone go through with this idea now.
"Oneiro, I wouldn't make you drink something unsafe that I made" Hearth said rolling his eyes, he'd had to adjust the alchemy recipe as the original had the taste and smell of apples. Sure it made it look weird, but that was it.
"Its bubbling.~" Oneiro said dryly in response to their reassurances but did accept the vial, going behind the curtain where a much smaller change of clothes were available for him to wear after.
"Your dad is so picky" Hearth told a giggling Karma, he picked up the smaller babybones snuggling them happily.
"Picky!" Karma giggled, nuzzling into brother and rather looking forward to what was about to happen.
"Its not picky to not want to drink acid!~" Oneiro playfully argued behind the curtain, eyeing the vial one last time before downing it in one go. He shuddered at the feeling went through him, at least glad it didn't taste as bad as it looked.
"He should learn age shifting then" Hearth giggled.
"This feels weird. Is this normal?~" Oneiros voice came through the curtain but was now much higher pitch, the curtain pushed back at a much smaller monster coming out.
Oneiro almost looked cherub-like in his new size a stark contrast to the near intimidating look before, the smaller fluffier golden wings on his back not helping that perception, nor did the slight stumble they had as they got used to not having as much reach anymore.
"It is normal, you changed age and certain body responses and magical hormones are missing from your body. You look quite adorable by the way" Hearth grinned placing Karma down, he happily took a few pictures.
"Not adorable..~" Oneiro huffed in response and barely stopped the childish response to not stamp his feet, his wings puffing up in response and having to straighten his tilted circlet due to his magic being slightly out of whack.
He couldn't recall ever being called adorable before, even the villagers seeing him more as a symbol then anything else.
"Don't worry I won't tease, does the clothing fit alright?" he asked.
Oneiro looked briefly suspicious, his tiny face scrunching up and making it hard not to coo at them, before giving a slow nod.
"Feels fine. Far comfier then i ever remember wearing at this age before.~" He muttered the last part, tugging at the sleeves of his gold and white striped top, relieved none of the clothes were anything like what he had worn in the past.
"Just stay on the island while your a child, your magic will be wacky as your use to being a powerful adult. Just don't be surprised if you actually nap" Hearth told him with a grin.
"..a nap?~" Oneiro sounded baffled by the mere concept but was soon drawn out of that thought when he was near tackled by a chirping Karma, barely prevented from face planting due to grabbing onto the table.
"We are the same size!" Karma chirped in delight, giggling when dad's fluffy wings brushed against him, them feeling even softer then usual.
"Now shoo.. go have fun being a child. Not many get this chance, I'll call you both for lunch" Hearth said kicking them both outside to play.
------
"Told you would nap" Hearth said quietly as he placed the two sleeping children into his bed, smiling as they shifted to cuddle each other in there sleep as he tucked them in.
