Hearth kept a subtle eye on Karma and Blotched as they colored at the table, the smell of pie strong in the as he baked. Opal was leaning to make cookies, it was adorable as it had not been programmed into the core as.. well Hearth liked cooking as while Blotched was tiny he knew how to cook/bake and reheat properly if Hearth was not there.
"Brother will be home soon with other Brother?" Opal asked, a bit of flour on there cheek.
"That's right, Ordeal will be here soon and finally meet Blotched and yourself," Hearth said reaching out and clearing the flour up, he'd settled on a roast meal for the visit and had everything under cooking for the meal.
"Uncle is really nice if silly. They make the best faces whenever we play hide and seek." Karma shared, as if he didn't give heart attackers to poor Ordeal every time he vanished out of sight.
"I... see," Hearth said, knowing how chaotic Karma was and the reason of said faces.
His head tilted as the wards shifted, as Oneiro returned with Ordeal in the gate room.
They'd set up a guestroom in the hallway to there tower for Ordeal if he stayed the night, Opal having asked to be in the hallway to the children's tower. He was pleased, as Opal's personality was rapidly evolving even if may take years to evolve.
There room was still looked like a guest room, but little things not given to them was starting to fill the room.
As he waited for the twins to get to the kitchen he made sure everyone was where he knew they should be. The children coloring, Nix napping, Opal baking and Fai watching from the little nest on top of a cabinet he usually shared with Thanatos. His Familiar, ah... he could feel them flying around the island likely enjoying the skies mostly to himself before they released the dragons tomorrow.
Nails scarping on the floor was the first sign that the twins were near, Sol yelping when he was pounced on by Luna, jolted awake from where he was napping in his cushion pile.
The smaller kitsune was loud, soon dragging Sol into play with the two bolting out of the room just as fast just as their monsters walked into the room.
"Welcome to our home Ordeal," Hearth greeted with a smile, it was a jarring site since Ordeal had only seen him during the chaos 404 and the Fate event in more stressful situations.
"Y-yes, hello. It's nice to see you again" Ordeal's smile was awkward and tone a bit too high pitched, a bit tense as the first meeting with Hearth was them manhandling his twin like a doll and the second was him vanishing into a void looking gate without a word.
"Just relax Ordeal," Hearth said gently flinching a bit at the response, a bit upset at the fear.
"Uncle! You came." Karma screeched happily, latching onto Ordeal's leg and acting like a wonderful distraction for the nightmares stress.
"You have a lot to catch up on, Ordeal.~" Oneiro picked up Blotched and held them out like presenting a prize, the smaller babybones simply waving At the speechless monster.
"Ordeal, this is my son Blotched," Hearth said pretending Ordeals reaction to him didn't hurt "And this is Opal"
Then he paused, Karma giggled.
"Your baby brother" he continued, Karma giggled more.
"...you never explained this, Oneiro." Ordeal couldn't even muster any shock and just felt resigned and exasperated at his twins forgetfulness or more like not sharing important bits of news as they didn't think it was that important.
"I'm sure I shared that.~" Oneiro smiled obliviously, simply happy his twin was finally in his home.
"You likely didn't Oneiro," Hearth teased.
