"Dream.. you have to go," Blotched said gently.
"No.. if I go.. you'll be gone.. forever," Dream sobbed. Tears slipping down his face as he begged Blotched to come through the portal with Blue and himself. His friends were taken it hard, they'd survive by leaving there multiverse but he'd die.
"You'll be alone," Blue said brokenly, the three of them had been friends for a very long time.
"I won't, dad's on his way," he promised pulling them into a hug, all three of them were crying heavily.
It was soul breaking, there home.. there multiverse was about to end and with it Ink.
Negotiations had gone well, a nearby multiverse had taken everyone in. It had been a multiverse with only three Au's past original, the local creator was soulled and thankfully not bound and very careful about how they created.
Every few minutes the multiverse shook, a feeling of crushing growing making everyone extremely ill.
"I can stay... Nighty and everyone else already left, my crush is long gone but your my first friend," Dream begged, his fingers almost painful on Blotched arms.
Moments later he fell limp against Blue, the others face tearful as they caught him.
"That's cheating," Blue said with an extremely broken smile, staring at Blotched and there still glowing hand covered by magic.
"No one dies with me, I love you all too much for that," Blotched said eyed hard, but he still cried.
The room shook.
"Goodbye silly Ink," Blue said softly, pulling up a sillier nickname for goodbye.
"Goodbye baby Blue," Blotched said just as fondly, they shared another look and Blue carried Dream through the portal.
Then.. he was alone.
He curled up in his favourite chair covered in blankets, staring blankly forward.
He was very scared, he didn't want to die.
He didn't want to tell Karma, that's Fates finals moments had destabilized his multiverse too much when she played with time to lock everyone out.
Dad had confirmed it when asked, the true damage had not been seen till after Karma's visit when.. well an AU suddenly just vanished.
Everything finish, then it wasn't. They'd been so close, just so very close to fixing the final damage from time kid and Fate has a bitch fit.
"Inky...?"
"Dad..." he said brokenly, warm familiar arms surrounded him pulling him from angry thoughts.
"I'm here," Hearth promised siting beside him, allowing Blotched head to lay on his lap.
"I was afraid... that you wouldn't make it," he said with the fear fo a child in the end.
"My poor child, I would be here even if I had to break reality," Hearth promised, his voice shook tears in his ever changing eyes.
"Can you read me a story..." Ink whispered, the world shook and grinding was heard.
"Of course, what story sweetsoul," Hearth asked softly.
"Fluffy bunny... the one you first read me," he answered curling closer to his dad.
"It was your favourite," Hearth smiled and pulled out the book, he kissed Blotched skull and began to read as if the multiverse wasn't ending.
One book went to two, then three or four.
