Summary: Traveller has to talk to himself, or rather have his two halves talk properly for once
"Just rest Fai," hearth said gently petting the tiny dragon, they made a cute warbling sounds and snuggled into the nest his monster had created. The newborn long had been busily exploring since he arrived at his new home.
Tiny chirpy snores soon escaped the nest, Hearth could already tell they'd be down for the count for four to five hours.
That... would give him the time he needed.
Oneiro and Karma were not expecting him home yet, nor were they home from there trip. He hoped the trip to visit Ordeal was going well, Ordeal was a rather nervous and stressed monster due to past events. Yet he had never giving up on Oneiro not hated him, feared him in there sanity but they'd clearly never given up.
He walked to his alchemy lab, making sure to make sure the lab was still sealed from mischievous familiars, his new little dragon Guardians and Karma who's common sense would likely cause a chain reaction in the room somehow.
Taking a deep breath he unlocked a sealed case, carefully lifting the prize within.
It was a creation of at least a thousand years of alchemy research, and took a hundred years to create a single seed and grow. It looked like a beautiful crystal flower, on the edge of opening.
Most beings that even knew of alchemy would never reach this level, they just wouldn't live long enough to gain even a fraction of the skill needed. Hearth had lived a very long time, longer as the Traveller aka Hearth then he had separate as Palette and Goth.
He picked up the crystal flowers pot, carefully walking through the tent, into the library them upstairs into his office above the final level of the library. He'd created Nix here with Shell help, this place was private with a lot of shielding he wishes he could cover the whole island with.
Maybe one day.
He placed the flower and its pot in the middle of the room, pushing all furniture towards the wall and made sure the three mirrors he had in the room faced the flower. He'd used the mirrors during the 404 even, to try to scry the mad deity controlled monsters location.
At least they'd be useful here.
He pulled off everything, till he was bare bones, a bit chill but it was needed.
His two sides had not been quite in sync since he'd seen fresh404, his mind swinging between child/babybones and adult like.. at at least teenager.
Goth wanted something no one could give him, while Fresh404 had denied him it was troubling that half.
There mindscape helped, but..
Somehow he was sure this needed something physical, he was both of them but parts of him was fraying due to a disconnect.
If Goth and Palette fully disconnected he as heart would cease, and this body had to be kept in sync as it was the only way for then to stay existing.
"Never thought I'd ever need this, but life happens," he said sitting down beside the flower.
Gently he pulled the flower from the dirt in the pot, staring at its memorizing petals.
"Alright my two selves... don't screw up, we only get once chance as this," Hearth said activating the flower, the flower glowed and bloomed revealing its center filled with silvery liquid. He tilted the flower and swallowed, then there was...
------
Palette sat up with a gasp, breathing heavily his green starry eyes staring around confused.
His thoughts confused, what.. had they been doing?
