Liu Wangcai, a notorious lecher, was intrigued when Jiang Yuan proposed a business deal, his mind wandering with unsavory thoughts. Struggling to maintain a facade of refinement, he suppressed his base desires and asked, "Oh, what kind of business?"

His gaze lingered on Jiang Yuan’s face, eyes gleaming as if seeing more than just a person, but rather an object of physical desire.

Despite the chill his stare sent through her, Jiang Yuan remained composed, cutting straight to the point, "I have a secret method..."

Before she could finish, Liu Wangcai interrupted, attempting a suave demeanor, "I have no need for secret methods, but I could use more concubines."

Internally, Jiang Yuan cursed him as a beast, retorting coldly, "That depends on your capability."

"What do you mean?" Liu Wangcai, sensing an opportunity, perked up, his eyes shining with interest.

Jiang Yuan diverted back to business, "I’m interested in all the fruits and vegetables from your estate."

When money was involved, Liu Wangcai showed his true miserly nature, sneering, "That depends on how much you’re willing to pay. But if we become in-laws, you can have as much as you want, free of charge."

Aware of his intentions towards Lin Wan, Jiang Yuan replied icily, "Our Lin family doesn’t sell people!"

Her tone was sharp and unwavering.

Noticing Liu Wangcai’s displeasure, Jiang Yuan swiftly added, "I have a method to keep grapes fresh as new. Would you be interested in this deal?"

"Really? What’s your method?" Liu Wangcai, temporarily setting aside his lust, was visibly excited at the prospect.

Grapes were a rare luxury, typically enjoyed by royalty. Without his son-in-law's business acumen, they were unattainable. He yearned for such exclusive indulgence.

Jiang Yuan withheld the method, feigning mystery, "It’s a family secret."

A sly glint appeared in Liu Wangcai’s eyes, "Without knowing your method, how can I trust you? If my grapes spoil, how will you compensate me?"

Without hesitation, Jiang Yuan assured, "They won’t spoil."

Expecting her to offer herself as collateral, Liu was taken aback by her confidence. Enamored with the juicy grapes and burdened by surplus produce, often used as tenant rent, he saw an opportunity.

He calculated: if Jiang Yuan failed, he’d have an excuse to claim her.

After weighing his options, Liu stroked his beard, declaring grandly, "Steward Zhou, bring all my grapes."

He strutted before Lin Kong, flaunting his grapes as if they were treasure.

Jiang Yuan stood by, watching as the steward reverently presented three bunches of purple-red grapes. She stifled a derisive laugh at Liu’s exaggeration of his "batch."

She inquired, "How long do you wish to keep them fresh, and how many do you want to consume daily?"

"Naturally, I’d like one a day," Liu Wangcai smirked, "How many are there? Can you manage?"
