"Are you willing?" Jing Anrui asked cautiously, treating Jiang Yuan and the others as equals, motivated by her deep affection for a certain woman.

The thought of wearing women's clothing made Lin Kong shiver, goosebumps rising all over her skin. She wanted to refuse but knew this wasn't the time to be willful. She turned to Jiang Yuan, hoping for a better idea, not wanting to dress as a woman.

Jiang Yuan understood Lin Kong's silent plea but also knew this was a necessary step. Jing Anrui had likely arranged everything outside, but the Empress in the palace remained a concern.

After some thought, Jiang Yuan said, "But we need to wait for someone."

"Who?" Jing Anrui asked.

"Shi Qi," Jiang Yuan replied.

Though Lin Kong was skilled in martial arts, her lack of experience showed, especially against stronger opponents. Jiang Yuan, lacking martial skills, relied on Shi Qi to fill this gap.

Jing Anrui's eyes flickered with concern but she said firmly, "Can Shi Qi arrive by tomorrow? Regardless, you must start learning palace etiquette tomorrow. You don't need to master much, just enough to seem proper. She's kind-hearted and won't trouble you."

Her eyes softened at the mention of her, filled with tenderness.

Jiang Yuan said, "Shi Qi should arrive in a day or two."

She knew Shi Qi well, and it was likely she'd arrive sooner, worried about Lin Kong, especially with an ever-present enemy.

"That's good. Tomorrow morning, you'll learn etiquette from the tutor. Once Shi Qi arrives, you can enter the palace. I've arranged everything; no one will trouble you." Jing Anrui was anxious but knew urgency wouldn't help.

"Yes," Jiang Yuan agreed, leading a reluctant Lin Kong inside. After delivering the jewelry and fabric to Lin An, she gently reassured Lin Kong, "It's just women's clothes, not a battlefield. Why so downcast?"

Wearing women's clothes wasn't like going to battle, but Lin Kong felt uncomfortable. She'd rather fight than wear women's clothes and learn tedious etiquette.

She remained silent, head down, expressing her displeasure.

"You're not really a man. You were quite relaxed in bed last night. Why so reserved now?" Jiang Yuan teased. "In our time, men sometimes dressed as women, and no one found it strange."

It was said that Cao Rui, son of Emperor Wei Wen, loved wearing women's clothes. Many influencers also dressed as women.

Lin Kong was embarrassed by the mention of last night and intrigued. She never knew men wore women's clothes, asking, "Wouldn't men in women's clothes be strange?"

She imagined a muscular man in a dress, finding it unsettling.

Jiang Yuan countered, "It might be strange for men, but you're a woman. Wearing women's clothes is natural, so don't stress."

It all came back to her wearing women's clothes. Lin Kong pouted, unwilling to go to the palace during her period, but Jing Anrui wouldn't wait.

Jiang Yuan, noticing her silence, added, "Kong'er, you promised to wear them for me."

Lin Kong didn't recall, asking, "When?"
