Lin Kong watched Jiang Yuan's lips, now moist and full from their kiss, and swallowed nervously, her eyes filled with unshed tears of frustration.
Jiang Yuan understood Lin Kong's reaction without needing to guess. She gently patted Lin Kong's face in comfort before reaching to remove the dart from the window. The dart was tied with a small note, which Jiang Yuan carefully opened and read, her expression turning blank as she stared at the pierced paper window.
Lin Kong, pushing aside her own feelings, leaned over to read the note, her eyebrows arching with interest. She glanced at Jiang Yuan, who maintained her stoic expression, and suggested, "Wife, I want to go with you."
Jiang Yuan tried to keep her expression neutral, but her brows furrowed slightly. The dart and note were undoubtedly from Jiang Chen, instructing them to meet at the Fengyue House at the third quarter of the evening. Fengyue House was a typical brothel.
Jiang Yuan couldn’t fathom why Jiang Chen wanted to meet in such a place. More importantly, she was embarrassed that their kiss had likely been witnessed by Jiang Chen, the original owner's sister. Facing Jiang Chen would be awkward, but they had to meet tonight.
Feeling uncomfortable and unable to express it, Jiang Yuan masked her emotions with a blank face. Lin Kong noticed Jiang Yuan's fixation on the window and, misunderstanding, eagerly jumped out of bed to draw the curtains. She returned to Jiang Yuan with enthusiasm, "Wife, now we can keep kissing without being seen."
Jiang Yuan: "..."
She intended to refuse, but Lin Kong's flushed cheeks and eager eyes made it difficult. Anyone would feel frustrated being interrupted, especially Lin Kong, who was trying hard to be close. Jiang Yuan decided to go along, gently cupping Lin Kong's face and kissing her again.
This time, she gave Lin Kong no chance to pull away, pressing her hand against the back of Lin Kong's head, their lips meshing intimately. Lin Kong's body slowly reclined until she lay back on the bed, Jiang Yuan following her down, resting atop her. Her hands moved from Lin Kong's face to softly caress her ear, causing Lin Kong’s breathing to quicken, accompanied by soft whimpers.
Overcome by desire, Jiang Yuan ignored her fatigue, letting her fingers wander over Lin Kong's chest, kneading through the fabric. The softness under her hands and the taste of Lin Kong's lips were intoxicating, leaving Lin Kong's mind blank. She wanted nothing more than to be closer to Jiang Yuan, pulling at their clothes...
"Tap, tap, tap..." Footsteps suddenly echoed outside.
Lin Kong: "..."
Jiang Yuan froze, reluctantly breaking the kiss and ignoring Lin Kong's disappointed gaze. She straightened up, adjusting their disheveled clothing and covering Lin Kong with a blanket before getting out of bed.
It was still afternoon, and their activities risked being scandalous. Now, interrupted multiple times, Jiang Yuan's heart raced. She almost thought it was Jiang Chen's doing again.
Steadying her breath, Jiang Yuan checked her appearance before opening the door to find a servant delivering lunch on the prince's orders.
Lin Kong followed closely, her clothes now in order but her hair still messy. She pouted in annoyance, speaking before Jiang Yuan could, "We're not eating lunch right now."
