Lin Kong closely followed behind Fei Fu. Her agility matched his, but burdened with Jiang Yuan, Fei Fu's speed had slowed. Just as Lin Kong was about to catch up, Fei Fu suddenly darted into a building.
Fearing an ambush, Lin Kong cautiously entered, only to find the place seemingly untouched, as if no one had ever been there.
Certain that Fei Fu and Jiang Yuan had entered, Lin Kong realized the building must have hidden passages. In her haste, she frantically searched for any secret mechanisms, but her inexperience left her frustrated and empty-handed.
Desperate, Lin Kong slashed a nearby table with her sword, reducing it to splinters and filling the room with dust. Just then, a shadow darted inside. Lin Kong raised her sword, only to see it was Shi Qi. Surprised and relieved, she asked, "Senior Sister, why are you here?"
"Prince Jing just arrived. I'm here to help you," Shi Qi replied, slightly breathless from the chase. Noting Lin Kong's urgency, she said, "Did they enter here?"
"Yes, there's definitely a mechanism here," Lin Kong said, searching the walls and voicing her worry, "Is my wife..."
Shi Qi reassured her, "Don't worry, I've been to a similar place before."
Recalling a similar setup from her previous investigations, Shi Qi found a hidden panel. Pressing it, a concealed passage opened in the wall.
After ensuring no traps lay ahead, Shi Qi advised, "Kong'er, be careful in there. I'll follow soon."
Lin Kong hesitated at the passage entrance, uneasy, "Senior Sister, where are you going?"
Shi Qi's expression shifted as she replied, "To find Song Keyan."
Without waiting for Lin Kong's response, Shi Qi turned and left.
Though Lin Kong wanted to say more, the urgency of Jiang Yuan's situation pressed on her. She hurried through the dark passage, grateful for the circulating air.
Reaching a lit stone chamber, Lin Kong followed the path and spotted a familiar figure imprisoned. Initially thinking it was Jiang Yuan, she stopped herself, realizing the battered figure was Jiang Chen. Despite her urgency, she couldn't leave Jiang Chen behind.
As Lin Kong moved to free Jiang Chen, Fei Fu appeared, blocking her with a sword, sneering, "Foolish."
Already enraged from earlier battles, Lin Kong scanned for Jiang Yuan but saw nothing. Furious, she demanded, "Where's my wife?"
Fei Fu shrugged with a smile, "Guess."
Cursing him silently, Lin Kong attacked without hesitation.
She knew Fei Fu would fight regardless, and she needed to find Jiang Yuan's whereabouts. Though their skills were evenly matched, her impatience led to mistakes, and she soon bore several wounds, her clothes stained with blood, slowly losing ground.
Suddenly, Jiang Chen broke her silence, calmly stating, "His left arm was severely injured in childhood. Attack his left side relentlessly."
Fei Fu faltered, staring at Jiang Chen, surprised yet unsurprised, coldly saying, "Very well."
Fei Fu's swordplay grew more complex and forceful, nearly overwhelming Lin Kong.
