A/N HEY GUYS IT'S BEEN A WHILE (6 days but that's a while in my mind)
I think I'm gonna lay off the really depressing chapters for a while, you don't need to worry
Sooo idrk Taylor's friends and idk who was there so ignore that and enjoy 😘😘
It all started with a single comment spoken by Taylor months prior. A single, innocent, absentminded, seemingly random remark she made one evening as she and Travis lay in bed together.
"You know, I wish I could go to the Eras Tour, like, just as a fan. Just go, have the time of my life with my family and friends, just... See what it's like, you get me?"
Travis smiled, nodding along, but inside, his mind was already racing. He could already picture the perfect way to fulfill her wish, to give her a night she'd never forget. And he was determined to make it happen.

"Wait, Trav, where are we going again?" Taylor called from the bedroom.
"Just a little restaurant!" Travis replied, his voice carrying through the house as he placed the razor down and stepped out of the bathroom. He leaned against the doorway, watching Taylor as she stood in front of the bed. Her brow furrowed in concentration as she scanned the pile of dresses laid out before her, clearly struggling to decide on the perfect one.
Travis took a moment to appreciate the sight of her. Even in this indecisive moment, she looked stunning. Her messy ponytail and flawless makeup only added to her effortless beauty.
He stepped into the room, and that’s when Taylor finally noticed him. Her eyes quickly scanned down his outfit: a simple shirt, jumper, and plain trousers.
"You look amazing," she smiled, walking over and wrapping her arms around his neck. Travis didn't say anything. Instead, he pulled her into a kiss, deep and warm. When they finally pulled apart, Taylor groaned in frustration.
"Ugh, I don’t know what to wear!" she whined, throwing her head back in annoyance. She stepped back to the bed, still torn between the options.
Travis came up behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist. "You’ll look amazing in anything," he whispered into her ear.
"That doesn’t help with deciding what to wear!" she groaned again, resting her head on Travis's shoulder. He pressed a quick kiss to her forehead before pulling away, stepping back a few paces. “I think… this one,” he said, pointing to a thigh-high dress with silver detailing down the middle and straps that wrapped around her neck.
“Okay,” Taylor agreed, nodding as she grabbed the dress, already knowing she’d wear it.
Her hair was already in a ponytail, makeup complete. “Remember you need to be ready in five minutes!” Travis called as she walked toward the bathroom, her dress in hand.A few minutes later, Taylor emerged, stunning in the dress, her confidence shining. Travis was already ready and waiting by the door, an expression of excitement barely contained on his face.
“You look perfect,” he said, his eyes twinkling with a secret he couldn’t wait to reveal.
Taylor smiled, giving him a playful look. “You ready to go? What’s the plan?”
“Oh, you’ll see soon enough,” Travis replied with a mischievous grin. “Let’s head out.”As they drove toward the location, Taylor noticed something odd: they weren’t heading toward the restaurant she had been expecting. Instead, they were driving down unfamiliar streets, through residential areas, and eventually pulling into a parking lot that didn’t look like a restaurant at all.
“What is this place?” Taylor asked, her curiosity piqued.
Travis turned to her, his eyes gleaming. “Trust me, just wait and see.”Not long later, they arrived at the location. Travis got out first, heading around the car to open Taylor's door. He took her hand in a gentlemanly fashion, helping her out of the car and smiling when he heard that adorable giggle.
Hand in hand, they made their way up to the entrance. Travis pushed the door open, allowing Taylor to enter first.
She looked around, confused. The room was pitch black, the only light coming from the open door behind them.
"Um, are you sure this is the place?" Taylor asked, confused. Travis squeezed her hand, offering her silent reassurance as he fought to hide the grin adorning his face.Taylor was about to say something else when suddenly a switch was flipped, bathing the room in different multicolored lights.
Taylor gasped as her friends jumped out from behind boxes and doors, music blaring through the speakers.
"Happy birthday, Taylor!" They all cried in unison.Taylor's eyes scanned around the room as she fought back tears, her emotions getting the best of her. The first thing she noticed was a massive, luminous 'Eras' sign on one wall.
She looked up towards Travis, her shaking hand hovering over her mouth as her friends started to crowd her.
"Happy birthday, baby!" Travis smiled, his face glowing with excitement, joy, and love."Happy birthday, Tay!" Ashley exclaimed, throwing her arms around Taylor and pulling her into a hug.
"Happy birthday! I hope you love it!" Emma squealed, also wrapping her in a hug.
"Thank you guys so much," Taylor gasped, her eyes glistening with unshed tears.
"Oh, it was all Travis, really," Margaret, another of her friends, grinned.Taylor turned back towards Travis, finally letting the tears fall.
"You did... All of this? For me?" She tried to wipe her tears away, but they just kept coming in steady streams.
"You deserve it," Travis cupped her face with his hands, his thumbs gently wiping her tears away. "You are the most amazing, hardworking, sweetest woman I have ever come across, and you deserve the world and more. This was the least I could do."Taylor let out a watery laugh, pulling away from Travis as her eyes flickered over the room once more.
"Come and dance with us, Tay!" Val exclaimed, holding her hands out for Taylor. She took them graciously, sending one last glance back to Travis before she was pulled into the dance floor.
About an hour later, Taylor was sitting at a table with her friends, her wine glass in hand. They were chatting about something random, and Taylor swore she had never felt so happy in her life.
Just then, a sound came from the speakers as Travis tapped on the microphone. He climbed up onto a chair, microphone in hand.
"Everybody, I would like to make a quick speech," he announced, his eyes fixed on Taylor."Unfortunately, I do not have a way with words, unlike a certain someone over there," he gestured towards Taylor, and a chorus of laughs echoed among the group. "But I will try my best. So firstly, I would like to thank everyone here. You were all the ones that made this possible, that helped me keep this secret for over half a year, while planning everything as well." A ripple of conversations spread through the room before Travis cleared his throat once more.
"And now, I would like to thank my beautiful partner. Taylor, you are the light of my life, my favorite thing on this earth. No matter what you're doing, you're always smiling, always having the time of your life. You're so kind and considerate to others, and you are genuinely the sweetest person I have ever met. I love you so, so much, and I want to thank you for being so amazing. I started with a friendship bracelet and a dream, and now I've ended with my girl."
Taylor stood up as Travis stepped down from the chair, placing the microphone aside. He engulfed Taylor in his arms as she buried her face in his shoulder.
"I love you, thank you so, so much for all of this," she whispered.
"You, Tay, are amazing, so thank you. I love you," he said back.
