A/N this one was another suggestion :)
Travis's eyes opened slowly, squinting at the bright light. He sat up, confused. He looked around, taking in his surroundings, and had no idea where he was. He didn't know what was happening. He thought he was dead, gone. He glanced down seeing that his white top be was wearing had been replaced with a gown. He lifted the hem, confused. He expected to see his wound, still leaking blood. But there was nothing. He trailed his finger up his side, but no evidence of what had happened that night remained. Taylor. She saved him. Where was she?
He stood up, looking around him. He seemed to be in a white room, white floor, white ceiling, white walls. But it wasn't a 'normal' white, instead it was glowing. He looked behind him to see that he had woken up on a white mat, also that weird glowing colour. On the other side of the room he could just make out a rectangle, slightly taller than his height. He made his way over, and as he got closer he realised it was a door. Taking a deep breath, he put his hand against it and pushed.
He stumbled through, almost falling at the other side. The sight that met his eyes made him gasp.

Taylor squinted her eyes open, wincing as the bright light hit her eyes. Where was she? She sat up, looking around. The room she was in was all white, just blinding white, no other colour could be seen. She was sitting on a mat, and as she lifted up the corner to see what it was she realised her jeans and t-shirt from yesterday had been replaced with a white gown. She felt like an angel.
She lifted her hand to the back of her head as the memories came flooding back. A van. A crash. Pain. Then finally, calm. She pulled her hand away, expecting to see it red and sticky with blood, but instead it was bare. She was confused. Why was she in the road? How did she get hit by a van? Wait. Something else flashed infront of her eyes. Travis. She pushed him out of the way, sacrificed herself for him. And he was still back down on earth, all alone. Taylor's heart ached at the thought that she wouldn't be able to see Travis for a long time. She was scared, she needed him. She needed him to hug her, tell her it would all be okay. That they were in this together. But they weren't.
She stood up, slightly shaky. She went over to the right wall and ran her hand across it, walking around the room. She was deep in her own thoughts, not paying attention to what was happening, so when her hand hit something it made her jump.
She looked up, not sure what she was expecting to see. A white rectangle, about as tall as her, embedded in the wall. She pushed against it, expecting nothing too happen but instead it gave way, leaving her stumbling out into the open.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
A corridor, that same white colour, stretching far, so far that the end couldn't be seen. Identical doors lining the walls, stretching as far as the eye could see. And the most surprising part; people. Old, young, all different, walking down the corridor, stumbling out of the doors, in groups, alone. All dressed in identical white robes. But they all seemed to be heading the same way.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Travis glanced behind him, seeing that his door had something written on it. A date. 6th November 2024. Today? He looked around at the other people, deciding to ask someone what was happening. A young girl, about twenty he predicted, walking right past him, following the crowd.
"Um, excuse me?" He called out, tapping her on the shoulder. She looked back at him, her expression emotionless.
"Um, what's happening?" He asked her. She shrugged, pointing towards where everyone else was going, and walked on.Travis decided to follow, so he set off. As he walked with the crowd, he thought. He thought long and hard about what could be happening, about what this was. In the end he decided that this must be the afterlife, all these people must be dead. But if all these people were dead, wouldn't Taylor be here too? Travis glanced around, looking for those familiar blonde locks, that beautiful face, but he came back with nothing. And so he made that his mission, to find his girlfriend.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
People. People everywhere. That's all that Taylor could think about. All going on the same direction. All coming out of doors identical to her own. And so, after thinking long and hard about it, she decided to follow them. She fiddled with her fingers nervously, I'm sure about where she was going.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Travis had been walking for what felt like hours before he saw something. Down the corridor, instead of just more white there was something there. As he could closer he could just about make out about the different paths, each winding away from the others. As the people reached the arches marking the start of the different paths, they stopped for a second, before heading down one of their choice. Well, Travis assumed it was one of their choice, as he couldn't tell.
Suddenly, someone to the far right, quite a bit ahead of him caught his eye. His heart fluttered as he recognised those familiar blonde curls, the way that girl walked. It was Taylor. His Taylor. He had to get to her before they reached those arches, as they were looking up ahead of them.
He tried to run, but his feet felt glued to the spot, stuck in the rythmic walking of everyone in the crowd.
"Taylor!" He tried to yell, but his shout died in his throat. What was happening? What could he do? He had to get to her, he just had to.--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Taylor walked along with the crowd of people, staring anxiously as the figures that looked before them. Just then she felt a pull, something trying to get her attention. She glanced behind her confused. Her heart slipped a beat. Was that... Travis? What was he doing there? She tried to turn, tried to stop but she couldn't. She wanted him, she needed him.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Suddenly everything stopped. Everyone, everything stopped.
"Taylor!" Travis screamed, and this time it worked. It echoed off the white walls, rattling down the corridor. They ran towards each other, as everyone else stood like statues, not moving, not breathing. Taylor fell into Travis's arms as they hugged each other tightly, not letting go, never letting go.--------------------------------------------------------------------------
"He's awake!" A voice called, followed by a sob. Travis opened his eyes slowly, greeted by his mum sitting next to him. Her head was in his lap, her hand holding his, and she was sobbing. He looked around him, confused. Where had the white room gone? Suddenly a sharp pain in his side bought him back to present, as he noticed he was in a bed. In a hospital. Machines were everywhere as wires hung off him, filled with all sorts of different liquids.
"You have been in a coma for a week" a nurse next to him told him kindly as she wrote something down on her clipboard. "That was a nasty wound you had going on" she chuckled.
"Taylor, where's Taylor" he croaked, looking around the room.
"She's in the room next door, she is in a coma too, on a ventilator poor girl" The nurse sighed sympathetically. "You can go see her in-"Just then she was cut off my another nurse entering the room. "Nurse Grey! She's awake, it's a miracle-" she looked down at Travis in surprise. "Oh my goodness, you're awake to!" She cried.
"Wait- what- how-" Nurse Grey stuttered, surprised but obviously happy.
"She had one day left until we were going to pull the plug, then she crashed. We thought she was gone, but we managed to get her back and now she's awake!" The other nurse, Yang, her badge read, exclaimed."Can- can I see her?" Travis asked.
"I guess so" Nurse Grey sighed, smiling."Hey baby" Travis murmered, as he sat next to her bed in his wheelchair, her hand in his. She had tubes everywhere, a bandage around her head and a large tube going into her mouth, but she was alive, and that was all that mattered.
A/N I didn't know I was going to change the ending until I got there but hope you enjoyed :)
