3rd POV

On Remnant 71 we see Axel and his mother Weiss walk onto a podium. Behind them is a massive object with a curtain draped over it. Axel takes the microphone.

Axel: "Today we stand in an untold era of peace. For almost forty years our multiverse has been under attack. From foreign invaders to the very embodiment of evil. But we stand here because of the actions of legends. These people risked their lives to ensure the multiverse lives to see another sunrise. But one stands above them all. My father."

He pauses to fight the sadness caught in his throat.

Axel: "My father... my father made the ultimate choice. Our multiverse needed someone to watch over it. So he chose to stay as the host to what was used to save everyone. He's up there."

He points to the sky.

Axel: "Far beyond our world. Watching and keeping us safe from anything that would dare bring back the chaos that we fought hard to beat. So to honor his choice we erect this statue."

The curtain drops, revealing a solid gold statue of Iron holding the planet in his hands.

Axel: "This statue will serve as a reminder to every aspiring hero. That no matter where you come from. Now mater what tragedy marks your life. There is someone out there, silently guiding you to where you need to be. Someone who will be there to pick you up after you fall. Someone who will give you strength when yours runs out. Someone... who carries the world on his back so you don't have to."

The place erupts into cheers and applauds. Weiss then takes the mic as she unfolds a piece of paper. She looks at it, wiping away a stray tear.

Weiss: "My husband left a letter. He wished for it to be read aloud."

She looks at the letter, hearing his voice through the letter.

Weiss: "Dear citizens of the multiverse. This' your watcher, Legion. By the time you read this I will have returned the heroes to their proper world and taken my place atop the multiverse. Since it was me that opened the door to the multiverse, I figured it'd be right I be the one to close it. Though I may be gone... I will watch over everyone... silently. And as I sit here, I offer you these words of comfort."

Ozzy and Maple watch the sun rise from the top of a sky scraper, holding each other tight.

Weiss: "Life is like a beautiful web. We're all interconnected by the thread of creation. So even though the door to the multiverse may be shut..."

Rider and Ember work on a motorcycle while Yang and Raven watch with amusement.

Weiss: "We're all still together."

Lily holds her daughter close to her chest.

Weiss: "Tied to each other by a thread that transcends time and space. So even if it feels like it, you're never truly alone."

Chase slides to a stop and watches from a hill as the sun rises on a brand new day.

Weiss: "So when you see the sun rise..."

Zander looks down at his home planet, taking it its beauty.

Weiss: "Take comfort knowing I'll be there. Working endlessly to make sure you live to see the next sunrise."

Back at Iron's world we see Weiss finally letting her tears free.

Weiss: "Yours truly, Legion."

She closes the letter and stares at the sky.

Weiss: "Goodbye Iron."

Elsewhere we see Legion sitting on his throne, his gaze fixed on an orb in his hand. In it is a feed of his wife and son staring at him.

Legion: "Goodbye my love."

Dispelling the orb he finally stands. He then begins walking away. When he stops he sees the Tree Of Reality housing his friends and family. A small smirk graces his lips. Pivoting on his foot he walks somewhere else. Panning slightly out from the tree we see several other trees, each housing a multiverse, each with their own heroes and stories.

Legion: "And thus one age ends, and another begins."

Coming to a stop he taps the ground with the butt of his staff. A simple sapling springs forth. Aiming his staff at it, his eyes peer into it. Joining him we see a kid's room. He stares at his hands which glow with light. The boy then smiles widely.

Kid: "I'm gonna be a hero."
