Part 123 - Advisor

Red pov:

So Chloe saved me from hades, and we made it back to the dorm. Chloe and I then looked around the room for any cameras and noticed two. We knocked them down and went in the hall to do the same. Once back inside the dorm, the 3 girls were very confused.

Mal: Why are you breaking the security cameras? That's school property.

Red: Because hades said my mom might be watching us through them.... I would rather not risk trying.

Ruby: I'm sorry. What? Your mom might be watching us?

Chloe: Well, we don't know for sure because we have little to no proof of anything.

Red: hades told me that the kidnappings were my mom's plan because she found out he's still alive.

Chloe: And that it was a test for me and Red, but we have no clue what this was supposed to be.

Red: So I got Chloe to save me.

Evie: So what is even the plan now?

Red: I take over Auradon like I was supposed to. I got a whole week to do so.

Mal: So hades isn't after us?

Red: Not really. My mom just blackmailed him, so he had to do it. I have no clue what her plan is this time, but I hope there isn't much else to it.

Chloe then puts her hand in mine, rubbing the back of my hand.

Chloe: I'm sorry we couldn't cuddle last night.

Red: it's ok, I'm just glad I didn't sleep in some uncomfortable basement.... what time even is it right now?

Evie: About 10 am.

Red: Cool, let's finish up this book of all the laws, and we can focus on something else.

So we headed down to the office, and I sat down with Mal as we completed the book with my approval on everything. We then sent it off to the guards and police officers.

Red: So now everything should be more peaceful?

Mal: It should be.... there will always be criminals, but at least it's not like the purge anymore.

Red: Good, that was my main worry when my mom left. So what now? What else does a queen even do?

Mal: Well, we usually make decisions on a daily basis.

Red: decisions about what? Isn't everything done once you've placed it?

Mal: Most big things Yes.... but there are a lot of small decisions made that not many seem to talk about. Most of these are important improvements that may or may not change overnight but will affect the country.

Red: Oh.... and how do I know if I need to make these decisions?

Mal: Well, when I was queen, I had a team..... your mother doesn't, so she's unlikely to do these types of decisions all too often.

Red: Cool, let's do that, then? Looks fun enough to do. Well, you guys are my team, but I'm guessing I need to hire this other team?

Mal: Yep, let's do some interviews, and you can pick the advisor.... that's what we call the person who tells you what the choices are for the decisions.

So that's exactly what we did. People came for interviews. Most people were scared because of the queen, but since Mal was in the room with me, it seemed to have ease their fears. Mal gave me a few pointers during the interviews, and at the end, after going through everyone, it was time to choose. I turned to her because she was next to me.
