Nothing beats a summer abroad but when travelling far from home it's always nice to bring along an old friend from the neighborhood. Cobblestones and Cafe de Fore. Serena's locked down the Left Bank and become a muse to us all. Meanwhile, Blair rules the Right Bank storming the shops and consuming the classics and sampling sugary snacks like a modern Marie Antoinette. But we hear Serena's stories sizzle while Blair's are more fizzle. She's shopped at Saint Laurent and dined at Drouant but the only beau B had this summer is on her headband. And has anyone else our heiress? She's managed to disappear off our radar this summer. Not to fret, I'll find out why.

Ophelia had spent the summer resting and trying to keep on top of her hotel and fashion line whilst processing her pregnancy. Nate had been helping where he could, supporting every choice and providing every craving the heiress needed. They'd successfully made it through the first trimester and were currently four months pregnant meaning they could start telling those closest to them, if they didn't already know.

"I'm glad you're out of the immediate danger zone but how exactly do you plan on hiding your bump in the warm weather?". Carrington laughed, sipping on a cocktail whilst Ophelia lay next to her at the rooftop pool. "The only people we still need to tell are Blair, Serena and Chuck. The last one nobody has even heard from the entire summer." The heiress confirmed, wondering why the Bass hadn't bothered to contact his best friend. "It's unusual for nobody to see Chuck, especially after a breakup. It's like him and Spencer swapped identities." The blonde girl laughed, the extreme extracurriculars of the Huntington boy had been plastered all over Gossip Girl the entire summer. "No, we are not talking about my brother's use of that book unless it includes me burning it."

Shivering with disgust Ophelia stretched her legs out on the sunbed, groaning as her body continued to ache. "Maybe I should've just agreed to marry Nate, then I wouldn't be in so much pain." The heiress complained, sick of the aches, pains and sickness that came with being pregnant. "O, you'd just be engaged and pregnant then, you know that right?". Carrington laughed, her pink bikini on full display as she soaked up the summer sun. "How's the wedding planning going anyway?". Ophelia changed the topic, rotating slightly into a better position. "It's amazing, we're in no rush to get married but I do enjoy introducing Theo as my fiancé and not just a boyfriend." Carrington beamed, admiring the diamond ring on her left hand with a happy sigh. "I'm sure I'm going to look killer in a bridesmaid dress with a bump." The heiress joked. "Oh, please we're waiting until our niece or nephew is out so they can attend too, even if they won't remember a second of it."

"Care, you don't have to push back your wedding plans because of me." Ophelia immediately interjected but Carrington held her hand up in protest. "Don't be ridiculous. You deserve to celebrate properly too; you're the reason we even met in the first place... and got back together." Carrington laughed, shaking her head at the ridiculous idea otherwise. "I fear our maid of honor speeches for one another should not include the endless times we've broken up with our partners." Ophelia suggested, thinking to the strenuous track record her and Nate had managed to accomplish before now. "Or the fact everyone's slept with everyone." Carrington added on causing the best friends to fall into a fit of laughter. "Yeah, we're going to need to rule out some topics before speeches are written." Ophelia confirmed lightheartedly. "Absolutely agree." The blonde added, the twisted connections of their friendship group and the city they lived in definitely didn't make weddings a simple affair.
