Up and at them, Upper East Siders. It's time to awake from our slumber and learn the hard truth: that some nightmares don't end once we open our eyes.

The day following Nate's party Ophelia had learned Chuck had committed an unthinkable abuse of power against Blair leading to the pair breaking up and somehow Nate playing parent to the Bass boy. "You're not going to find anything in there." Ophelia sassed, stepping out of the spare room Nate was currently staying in at the Empire, her arms crossed and disapproval written all over her face. "Well, it's a good thing I own a bar downstairs." Chuck argued back. "At the expense of Blair." The heiress snapped, her boyfriend placing a careful hand on her arm to warn her against starting a fight.

"Here, drink this." Nate held out a glass of water to the Bass boy. "Look, we know this is because of what happened with Blair, but you got the Empire back, you should be celebrating." The Archibald continued, unaware of the full extent of the argument in question. Reluctantly accepting the water Chuck rubbed his head to relieve the growing headache before he began to speak. "I thought our relationship could withstand anything. Apparently, I was wrong."

Grabbing the flask from the closest table Chuck poured it into a nearby cup of coffee, his intentions to do anything but drink becoming clearer. "You still love her, don't you? Then show her you're sorry." Nate suggested but to no avail. "She doesn't wanna talk to me. I've tried." Chuck stated but the Archibald wouldn't back down that easily. "You haven't been outside in days, when could you have tried?". "She asked me to leave her alone. That's what I'm doing." Chuck explained but Ophelia found herself growing even more frustrated with his words and lack of effort. "The longer you wait the more you're proving to Blair that you don't care."

The heiress didn't bother to sugarcoat her words, placing a kiss on her boyfriend's cheek before leaving the Empire in search of her cousin who had not bothered to leave her room all week. Ophelia didn't know what to say to Blair, she could've never imagined someone to be as heartless as Chuck had proven to be and yet she was meant to offer words of advice and encouragement. Stopping into Blair's favorite pastry shop she collected an assortment of her cousin's favorites before entering the Waldorf residence, smiling wide as she saw her aunt sitting at the dining table.

"Aunt Eleanor." Ophelia beamed, smiling as the older woman stood up and embraced her niece. "Ophelia, thank goodness you're here. Blair hasn't left her room all week, it's like living with Howard Hughes." Eleanor moved back slightly, allowing Cyrus to greet the heiress with a large embrace. "Please try and break through to her. We miss her dearly." Cyrus explained to his niece who simply smiled and held the bag of pastries up in her hand. "If she won't talk then hopefully, I can get her to eat." Ophelia explained, silently praying bribery would work. "We are not allowed to cross the transom." Eleanor joked, secretly worried for her daughter but doing her best to maintain her concerns. "I'll try."
