Chapter 133
Zatariel point of view
I placed Zadriana gently onto the couch.
She immediately grabbed a controller like a soldier being handed a weapon.
"I want zombies," she declared.
My five-year-old sister has the emotional resilience of a horror movie protagonist.
Meanwhile, I still refuse to watch medical documentaries because bones are disturbing.
I powered on the console and loaded the game.
Within seconds, groaning undead filled the screen.
Zadriana's eyes lit up.
With excitement.
I shook my head slowly.
"I am raising a future menace to society."
Satisfied she was occupied, I slipped into the bathroom.
Which-unsurprisingly-was also white.
White tiles. White sink. White towels. White marble counters.
Even the soap dispenser.
I opened my wardrobe.
White shirts.
White pajamas.
White loungewear.
White sweaters.
White-
Even my underwear.
All white.
...Hmmm.
I distinctly remember owning black ones.
My favorites, actually.
Mom must have decided they disrupted the aesthetic.
Tragic.
I removed my academy uniform-dark green, the only object in this room brave enough to defy the color scheme.
Honestly, it looked like an intruder.
I stepped into the shower, letting the warm water rinse away the day.
The tension.
The chaos.
The emotional damage I absolutely did not cause.
Time passed.
I stepped out, dried off, and faced the mirror.
And immediately frowned.
What the-
On my chest...
Tiny hairs?
Absolutely unacceptable.
I grabbed a razor.
A few precise, efficient movements later-
There.
Restored order.
I changed into my pajamas and stepped back into the bedroom.
Zadriana was fully immersed in digital destruction.
Her character moved with alarming confidence.
"...Should I be worried?" I asked.
"I got a shotgun!" she announced proudly.
Wonderful.
Five years old and already choosing violence.
She didn't even notice me sitting beside her, completely consumed by her mission to eliminate the undead population.
Honestly...
I respect the dedication.
If she applied even half of this energy to her alphabet worksheets, Margery might finally know peace.
