Chapter 159

Wayne Memorial Hospital - Room 001

The nurse carefully removed the IV needle from Miexha's arm before gently cleaning the healing wound on her head.

"You're recovering well," the nurse said with a professional smile.
"If everything remains stable overnight, you may be discharged tomorrow."

Miexha's eyes immediately lit up.
"Really?"

She clapped happily.

"Thank you so much!"

The nurse smiled politely, finishing her notes before stepping away.

From the corner of the room-
Seleina clicked her tongue impatiently.

"Finally," she muttered.
"Get some rest and stop causing trouble."

She waved her hand dismissively toward the nurse.
"Get lost."

Her patience for the day had already run thin.

Not that she had actually done much caregiving.

She had spent most of the time sitting in the chair, scrolling through her phone with a permanently irritated expression.

Miexha tilted her head.
"You okay Seleina?"

Seleina did not answer.

Her mood had been deteriorating for exactly ten very long minutes.

She glared at Miexha as if the poor girl personally interfered with mobile network signals.

Miexha blinked in confusion.
"Why are you looking at me like that?"

Seleina stood abruptly, clearly about to release her frustration on some unfortunate piece of hospital furniture-

Ping.

Her phone screen lit up.

Sphere:
I love you too. Just finished showering.

Seleina froze.

Her anger evaporated instantly.

Her face, previously flushed with irritation, now turned bright red for an entirely different reason.

She slowly lowered herself back into the chair, clutching her phone to her chest, smiling so widely it almost looked painful.

Miexha scratched her head.

"Marie is weird..."
She paused thoughtfully.
"Seleina is weirder."

She stared at the ceiling for a moment.
"They're both my cousins..."

"...does that mean I'm weird too?"

Her eyes widened slightly.

"What if Zatariel realizes I'm weird and breaks up with me?"

"Oh no..."

Her mind spiraled briefly-
until she suddenly remembered their kiss earlier.

Her face turned bright red.

She quickly buried her face into the blanket.

At that exact moment-
Marie entered.

Her expression looked unusually... pleased.

She leaned casually against the wall, clearly distracted.

"Asha looks adorable when she cries," Marie murmured absentmindedly.

"I almost wanted to steal her."

Miexha blinked.

Seleina slowly lowered her phone.
