Chapter 162

Blue City — Damian’s Mansion

Sunlight streamed through tall windows, illuminating the calm elegance of the dining hall.

Porcelain plates clinked softly. Warm bread released a comforting aroma. Fresh fruits, delicate omelets, smoked fish, and neatly arranged pastries filled the long table.

Despite the exhaustion from travel, everyone had gathered earlier than expected.

For a brief moment, it almost felt like an ordinary breakfast.

Zatariel reached for a slice of toasted bread when Zadriana suddenly raised both hands dramatically.

“Kuyaaa! I want honey!” she declared with great seriousness.

A servant immediately stepped forward, placing a small crystal jar in front of her.

Zadriana examined it carefully before nodding with approval.

“It looks yummy,” she whispered to Hannah.

Asha heard the little girl and laughed softly.
“It is expensive.”

Jayson leaned back in his chair.
“Don't scare the kids.”

“What? It's the truth” Asha replied dryly.

Miexha giggled, nearly spilling her juice.

Zatariel glanced at her briefly before quickly returning his attention to his plate.

Then suddenly—
Marie stood up from her chair.
“Why not, Daddy?!”

Her voice echoed lightly through the hall, drawing everyone’s attention.

She had requested permission to tour the canning factory with Asha and Miexha through telepathy.

Damian calmly folded his napkin.

“You may swim at the sea instead,” he replied, tone composed, as if the alternative were more than generous.

Miexha’s eyes sparkled instantly.

“The sea?!”
She clasped her hands excitedly.
“I want to go! I want to go! I haven’t seen the ocean in months!”

Jayson chuckled.
“Fair enough, It's been a long time since we went to the beach,”

Asha smiled, resting her chin lightly on her hand.

“A quiet day by the water actually sounds nice,” she said.

Seleina immediately crossed her arms.

“Not happening.”
Her eyes shifted toward Sphere.
“Take me away from my family. Please.”

Sphere gave a quiet laugh, his voice calm as always.
He gently brushed his fingers through her blue hair.

“No,” he said patiently.
“My duty is to guard all of you here.”

“You can wait until my day off,” he added lightly.
“Then we can go wherever you want.”

Seleina pouted dramatically.
“You said that last time.”

“hmmm,” Sphere replied,
“Did I ever break a promise to you?”

Seleina shook her head, blushing

Marie watched the interaction with fascination.
How Sphere managed to neutralize Seleina’s volatile temperament remained one of the  greatest unsolved mysteries.

Hannah leaned toward Marie and whispered,
“When will papa marry auntie Seleina?”

Marie nearly choked on her Coffee.
