Chapter 144

Zatariel's Point of View

Foundation Month begins in two days.

October has been fully occupied.

An entire month dedicated to structured generosity, carefully scheduled compassion, and socially acceptable displays of productivity.

Naturally, I am responsible for ensuring the opening day functions with military-level precision.

Perfection is the minimum requirement.

Acceptable chaos is not part of the program.

Opening remarks will begin promptly at 8:00 AM.

The sequence has been finalized:

School Director Cienna Verra will deliver the institutional vision speech.

Principal Sebastian will follow with a motivational address regarding discipline, academic excellence, and the importance of not setting anything on fire during school events.

Several VIP guests will also provide brief remarks.

Also, brief is an aspirational word.

One of the school administrators will present the formal overview of Foundation Month activities.

Then I will give the student leadership address.

Apparently, I am considered motivating.

Yeah...
This information surprised me as well.

Thyron 'freking still alive' Sebastian, the reigning Mr. Wayne Academy and representative of the Student Varsity, will also deliver a speech.

The administration believes his presence encourages the school spirit.

It also encourages approximately 82% of the student population to arrive early.

As for me, I had forgotten that he still exists in this world.

Opening day will also feature the debut of all club booths.

Each organization will present carefully curated items for fundraising. (They suggested it, by the way, no one forces them)

Food stalls.

Art displays.

Games.

Interactive activities.

And various attempts at extracting money from the student population through creative persuasion.

Asha, Jayson, and I will manage the Housing Stability Initiative booth.

A charity project with measurable outcomes.

Transparent allocation of funds.

Professional presentation.

And an emotionally complicated inventory.

Our booth, however, operates on a different level.

Rumors have already spread throughout the campus.

Apparently, the phrase "The royal trio selling their personal belongings" has generated significant public interest.

I am unsure why this is exciting for them.

We are simply redistributing objects.

Yet the student body behaves as though this is an archaeological auction of rare artifacts.

Someone asked if I would be selling my monocle.

I do not own a monocle.

I am considering purchasing one purely for narrative consistency.
