Chapter 160

Wayne Academy

Foundation Month Sports Festival
Closing Ceremony

The stadium lights dimmed slightly as the large screen flickered to life.

Only one face appeared.

Zatariel Wov.

A pre-recorded video.

He stood in formal attire, posture straight, voice calm and composed.

“Congratulations to everyone who participated in this year’s Foundation Month Sports Festival.”

“You have represented the academy with excellence.”

“I would also like to thank the faculty, staff, and students who worked tirelessly to make this event successful.”

He paused briefly.
“I apologize for not being present physically.”

“However, I am proud of what all of you have achieved.”

A faint, polite smile appeared.
“Enjoy your semester break.”

“Rest well.”

“And I will see you all on November 5.”

The screen faded to black.

Then cheers erupted across the stadium.

Two weeks of freedom without academic pressure.

Students immediately began discussing travel plans, family trips, and celebrations.

Some were already halfway out of their seats.

Thyron Sebastian — the academy’s celebrated MVP — walked calmly toward his vehicle.

Beside him was Sherina.

Her movements were slow.

Her once vibrant appearance now subdued, her expression distant, almost detached.

To any casual observer, she simply appeared exhausted after the festival.

Thyron opened the car door and guided her inside with care.

Once seated, he retrieved a small syringe from a concealed compartment.

Sherina flinched slightly.

Her tolerance had weakened.

“Aleanna endured far more,”
Thyron murmured quietly.
“Your resilience is… disappointing.”

Sherina said nothing.
Her eyes remained unfocused.

Thyron fastened a thin collar gently around her neck.

His expression remained calm.

He drove away from the academy, heading toward the outer border between the Capital and Red City.

The establishment appeared ordinary from the outside.

A small, neatly maintained pet shop.

Inside, everything was meticulously organized.

Cages.
Supplies.
Living animals.

Nothing appeared out of place.

He guided Sherina forward, his hand loosely holding the leash.

At the back of the shop stood a reinforced door.

Behind it—
a private elevator.

He pressed B3.
