Chapter 142
Zatariel's point of view
By the time we finished—
It was already 7 PM.
Impressive. A very productive day.
We had successfully reduced an entire warehouse into three categories:
Sell.
Keep.
Emotionally complicated.
Asha stood in front of one particular box.
Pouting.
I paused a few steps behind her.
Inside were smaller items.
Dolls.
Worn, but carefully preserved.
Clothes.
Folded with unreasonable precision.
She picked one up.
A tiny pink cloth.

"...You're bad at comforting people," she muttered.
"I am being practical, Ash."
"You're being annoying sometimes."
"I know, now stop crying." I took my handkerchief and wiped her tears.
She looked at the onesies again.
Then—
Carefully—
Place them in the sell box.
The decision has been made.
We sealed the final box.
And just like that—
The warehouse task was complete.
We walked back to the mansion together.
Side by side.
Quiet.
Tired.
Dinner was already prepared when we arrived.
The table was set.
The atmosphere—
