Chapter 151

Wayne Memorial Hospital — Room 001

Miexha was finally sitting upright on the hospital bed, supported by pillows carefully arranged behind her.

The steady rhythm of the monitor nearby confirmed what everyone had been waiting to hear—
her vitals were stable.

Across from her, Marie sat comfortably, elegantly peeling an orange with effortless precision.

“You have no idea,” Marie said casually,
“how popular gemstone are becoming this season. Emerald, smoky quartz, even obsidian shades are making a comeback.”

She lifted a piece of orange peel to her lips and took a small bite.

Miexha blinked slowly.
“You… ate the peel.”

Marie nodded calmly while chewing.
“I like it.”

She handed the sweet fruit segments to Miexha.
“bitterness makes life more exciting.”

Miexha laughed softly.

Her cousin truly was… slightly... unusual.

“Weird,” Miexha teased gently.

Marie smirked faintly.
“It's obviously, obvious unique.”

After a moment, Marie stood, brushing invisible dust from her skirt.

“I’ll get more fruit,” she said casually.

Without waiting for a response, she walked toward the door.

The moment she stepped outside—
her presence vanished down the hallway with unnatural speed.

Only seconds later, familiar voices echoed from outside the room.

“Miexhaaaaa! My baby bun!”
Asha’s voice was unmistakable.

Impossible to ignore.

Miexha giggled, her eyes lighting up.

She had missed that voice.

The door bursts open gently but urgently.

Asha rushed inside and immediately wrapped her arms around Miexha.

“I missed you so much!”

Her embrace was tight enough to almost squeeze the air from Miexha’s lungs.

Jayson entered quickly behind her, gently pulling Asha back.

“You’ll crush her.”

“It’s fine,” Miexha laughed weakly, reaching forward and pulling both of them into a softer group hug.

Warmth spread through her chest.

“I really missed you,” Asha murmured dramatically.
“You slept for three months!”

“You skipped classes… events… and so much family drama!”

Jayson gave her a warning look.

Asha instantly made a peace sign.
“Sorry! Sorry!”
“You just woke up — no stress allowed!”

Her mood immediately brightened again as she turned toward the pile of items she had carried inside.

“I brought welcome back gifts!”
She presented them one by one with theatrical pride.

“A big pink rose bouquet!”

“A giant pink bunny!”

“Fluffy pink slippers!”
