Chapter 163

Inside the changing room, Miexha stared nervously at her reflection.

She barely recognized herself.

Her usually simple appearance now carried a subtle elegance she wasn't used to seeing.

The red lipstick Marie insisted she try made her look more mature than she felt.

Her heart beat faster as she adjusted the light robe around her shoulders.

She didn't know about the magical adjustments.

She only knew...
she looked different.

Carefully, she stepped outside.

Marie and Asha immediately moved closer.

Before Miexha could protest-
they gently removed the robe.

The sunlight reflected softly against her fair pink-toned skin.

Her red two-piece swimsuit was far from her usual modest clothing style.

Yet surprisingly-
it suited her.

She looked delicate yet radiant under the morning light.

Zatariel completely froze.
His balance faltered slightly as though his brain had momentarily stopped processing information.

He had never imagined Miexha looked like this beneath her oversized jackets and hoodies.

Jayson's expression also changed.

He slowly stood up, clearly caught off guard.

He had seen her just last summer.

His brows furrowed slightly.

Had she... grown?

Miexha noticed his reaction and blushed deeply.

Her fingers nervously fidgeted together as memories surfaced-
The warmth of last summer.

The closeness they once shared.

Jayson swallowed lightly.

Without speaking, he removed his shirt and gently offered it to her.

A quiet gesture of protection.

Before Miexha could respond, Asha quickly intercepted the shirt and tossed it aside playfully.

"She doesn't need it, brother," Asha teased with a knowing grin.

Marie tried very hard not to laugh.

Miexha glanced briefly at Jayson's well-built figure.

Her cheeks warmed further as she remembered the comfort she once felt resting against his chest.

Quickly, she stepped forward and picked up the shirt.

She handed it back to him softly.
"You... should wear it."

Jayson paused.
He understood the meaning behind her words.

She was creating distance.
Setting boundaries.

Without argument, he put his shirt back on.

He quietly moved toward one of the shaded beach cottages and retrieved his tablet.

Within moments, he immersed himself in reviewing documents related to the housing project.

Work became his shield.
Distraction became his discipline.

Zatariel interpreted the moment differently.

To him-
Jayson had stepped aside.

An opportunity had appeared.
