Hazel

It's now been three years since Calum and I advanced our relationship. I'm happy, and so is he. A lot has happened over the years. Calum's sister Mali came out, we had a huge party for her. Calum and his friends started a group. My parents separated, and now my mom is the only one running the bakery - my dad moved back to America.  I went into a rehab type of program for a short while because I fell back into my problem with self harm. Calum and Mali's mom separated from the stepdad, and that was a whole thing on its own.

I guess from what Mali told me, their mom came back, this time alone. Their stepdad was in jail because he got in an altercation with her in public, and started a fight with bystanders. It turned into a bigger situation, because she wanted to move back in. Both Mali and Calum shut that down. It's not a good idea for her to be in the same environment after everything that happened, and I have to agree with them. After all, she allowed this stuff to happen to Calum and herself.

I think that Mali is trying to work on her relationship with their mom, but Calum is still very defensive and doesn't want any parts.  He held in so much pain from that relationship, so I'm okay with whatever he chooses. It took a while for me to build him back up again, and Mali was a great help.  His friends were always there for him, they're a huge blessing.

Luke separated from the girl he was seeing, but he had met someone else which was good for him. He went through it for a while but he's in a good place now, and off at college I think. He's barely around as much anymore, but he makes it a point to come around and be involved. His group with Calum, Michael, and Ashton, which I just met recently, is important to him - it's important to all of them actually.  It's taken them on good adventures and created a lot of memories for them. I love how close they are as friends.
