Since my mom was running the bakery now, after her and my dad separated, I run it with her, and Calum and his sister come often to help. It's a huge help having them there. Calum, not being much of a bakery guy, mostly takes care of the register and any cleaning. Mali helps me in the back with the decorating and the baking, alongside my mom.

Unfortunately, today, my mom could not make it because she had to go back to America. She'll be gone for about a month while I hold everything down. She hasn't been back home in a while, so this was her time to go. I've actually been spending a lot of my time at Calum's instead of my own home, but when we want our privacy, we go over to mine.

Today was going a bit slow, so we ended up closing early. I told Mali I would stay behind for a while, and Calum chose to stay with me. "Cal, are you practicing with your band tonight? Do you maybe wanna...before you go?" A smirk formed at the edge of my mouth and Calum knew where I was going with this. I always enjoyed our time together. "Yes, and yes...I'd love that actually." Calum came up from behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist and hugged me.

Calum kissed my neck, and I turned around and kissed him. "Babe, we can't do this here." I chuckle in his lips. We ended up staying for an extra thirty minutes or so, and then leaving and going to my house. Calum took his shirt off before heading upstairs to our bed, where we got some exercise in for a little while.

"I've gotta head out now, Luke is going to be meeting me at the pizza place, and we'll catch Ashton and Michael at the usual spot." Calum put his shirt back on and kissed me before heading out "I love you, please be safe babe." I told Calum. "I love you too." Calum headed out, just in time for a call from Mali.

I picked up the phone with Mali on the other end very eager. "Hey Mali, what's up?" She proceeded to beg me to come over ASAP, and she sounded frantic too. She knew Calum was heading out for his practice tonight, so I guess it was lucky she called just in time. "I'll head over, give me a little bit I'll be there."

It took me about a half hour to walk to Mali and Calum's house. I opened the front door with the key Mali had given me a few years ago, after Calum and I got together - I was there often enough anyway. We all practically shared houses. "Mal-" I immediately gasped upon what I had walked into. The entire downstairs was trashed. Broken glass everywhere, plants thrown around, dishes broken and all over the floor, curtains torn off - everything was a mess. I flinched at loud banging coming from behind a locked door. "Mali, what's going on?" I asked still processing everything I had been witnessing.

"It's our mom."
