"I don't understand him, I really thought we clicked, but he just doesn't work or anything when I am trying to tutor him!" Harry exclaimed.

"Have you figured out how he learns at least?" Jasper asked.

The month of March was now upon them and Harry and Alabaster had loads of sessions, but even with how they clicked, it still seemed to Harry that Alabaster was not trying in History Of Magic or in the tutoring. In fact whenever Harry tried to offer his help when he was in the middle of reading, Alabaster would get snappy.

"He said he has been handing in his essays, but he never lets me check them," Harry told him. "And no, I haven't really gotten to the bottom of that. I am leaning towards listening, but then he should know at least what Binns is talking about, yeah?"

"He is a tough one to get through to," said Jasper.

Harry sighed. "Yeah, but I will get through to him eventually." That's what he hoped anyway. He was just thankful that Theodore Jackson had not noticed and had not bothered Harry at all for the term so far.

He hoped it stayed that way.

"But enough about me, are you excited for the All Star team tryouts?" Harry asked him. "They are coming up soon. Derek Bell is leading them I think."

Jasper had forgotten about the tryouts. He had been so busy with his own classes (Professor Blythe apparently on suspension for some unknown reason and so they were having Professor McGonagall teaching Defence Against The Dark Arts), helping out with the house elves, checking in on his brothers and creating a spell, that he had put that at the far back of his mind. The only spell he had found that was sort of what he wanted was protego totalum, but that casted a shield not allowing anything in or out until it was broken so Jasper knew that wouldn't work. What he wanted was just an invisible force around his brothers and his mum so dad wasn't able to hurt him even if he tried.

It really did sound impossible.

But Jasper had been going at it. He even was trying to cast a shield charm and attempting to contain it. Maybe if he was able to contain it, it could be used during when their father was in one of his rages. What he pictured was casting the spell, somehow containing in a box and then mailing these boxes to his brothers and his mum (if she would use it) and when their dad was mad or drunk or both, they could open the box and stop him – either knocking him out or giving them more time to get out of the house or to go hide.

He was actually quite proud of the idea, but he needed to somehow learn to contain one. He would go to Christopher for advice with this as Pandora was quite handy with spells and potions. She had just been so busy with OWLS that she had not finished the communication spell and even though Jasper was disappointed with that before, this new idea was perfect and it would help the situation at home. His brothers wouldn't have to be scared of being hurt by their own father and his mum wouldn't have to be worried about being hurt by her own husband. Once that was done he would have a solution for his mother and brothers.

Finally.

A solution.

And Jasper would do everything in his power to ensure it succeeded.

"How has the potion been helping Mr. Jackson?" Madam Pomfrey asked when Alabaster went down for a visit with the nurse as he had been wanting to tell her that he had one, completed an essay and two, he wanted to show something he had drawn as a way to help him control his magic and feelings.
