"What do we do?" Harry asked after they had all cleaned Professor Virindi's office to the best of their ability and getting far from it. Both the Odairs were nowhere to be seen so far and they had no idea where they could have gone.
They didn't even know what had happened that had made them so upset!
"I have never seen them argue like that," Maryrose said and then soon after she added, "I have never seen Jasper get angry like that either..."
"Well, obviously something happened..." Harry said with a sigh. "But...siblings getting into fights is normal, right?" He looked over to Maryrose for confirmation and she slowly nodded. "Like...maybe everything will be okay!"
"You think they just need some time to cool off?" Maryrose asked. She thought this very well could be it, but some of the words said between both of the brothers did not sound very promising that this was just a small, stupid fight. However some time to cool off was probably the best thing for the both of them.
The only problem was that Toby, who was a muggle, was just wandering around the corridors of Hogwarts!
Maryrose looked over to Harry, nervously. "I think we need to find Toby, a muggle on the grounds of Hogwarts...if anyone...if the Slytherins were to find out–"
"I already know," Alabaster said.
"Not you," Maryrose whispered, waving a hand and she looked at him with a serious expression. "And you better not tell anyone about it, understand?"
Alabaster nodded, quite intimidated by her. "Yes miss."
"I am going to find Anthony and you two start looking for...for at least one of them!" Maryrose said and she quickly ran off in the direction of Ravenclaw Tower.
The two boys walked alongside each other heading towards the Great Hall. There was really no right or wrong way to start the search for one or both of the brothers and after a couple of minutes of silence, Harry asked, "Why did you yell?"
"Hm?"
"Back at the office, I mean," Harry clarified. "People don't usually join in on a yelling match if they hear one."
Alabaster didn't know how to answer that. He guessed it was odd to do what he did, but what else was new? It just felt right at the time; it was an impulse and he had not really thought about it until the words spilled out of his mouth. That and also that he was not a fan of yelling and he was hoping for it to stop. And it had, but whatever had caused the yelling had not been solved.
"It felt like the correct thing to do..." Alabaster started slowly. "But I understand that it was not now...." He sighed. "Jasper Odair is not one to argue with his brother...I did not think so anyway. From our talks, he cares about them so much, why would he be angry?"
Harry sighed and gave a sad shrug. "I don't know but...it is sort of normal for siblings to get into fights. Gifford and Jonathan are two twins in our year and they argue a lot...maybe Jasper and Toby were fighting over something silly."
Although, Harry doubted it. He just had a feeling.
"It does not seem like it," Alabaster said.
And it looked like Alabaster had that feeling too.
"Let's just find one of them," Harry said and he signalled for the Slytherin to follow him and they turned a corner. Harry heard Alabaster grunt and he turned to see he had knocked into the corner of the wall. "Are you okay?"
"I am fine," Alabaster said and he started to walk down the corridor. "Where would your friend go for starters?"
"Well, the Hufflepuff common room could be a place, but I think he would want to be alone," Harry said. "So, the common room and dorm room is a no. The kitchens could be another place, he likes helping the house elves, but again I think he needs alone time...or a distraction...we could check the kitchens...maybe...no..."
