Referenced trauma regarding the foster system.

"I did it."

Jasper looked up from where he had been laying on the grass, staring up at the sky. He quickly sat up when he spotted his little brother and scrambled to his feet. "You did it?!"

Edgar nodded. "Yeah...I feel...better."

Jasper grinned and wrapped his brother into a hug. "Oh, I am so, so, so proud of you. You're so brave for doing that, I hope you know that. I know it must have been really scary, but you did it!" He kissed the top of his head. "Is there anything I can do to help you out from now on? I will help you with your magic more if you'd like."

Edgar felt very safe when he was in Jasper's arms. He visibly relaxed, his tensed up shoulders falling away once he was in his brother's arms. "We can...do magic together?"

"Yes, we can do it together," Jasper promised him. "You won't have a wand for a few years, but we can work on regulating your magic now that you have proper control. It will be so much fun!"

"Really? You think so?"

Jasper nodded. "Yeah, I can teach you how to move things with your mind, like a superhero! That's cool, right?"

Edgar nodded and grinned. "Yeah!"

Christopher watched as the two brothers talked about all they were going to do, all that Jasper was going to show him, and how it could help Edgar out, and he felt pleased with himself. His idea had worked out after all. He still wasn't sure if it was completely solved, most things never were, but they all knew now and if they knew, they could help and improvement could be made.

"Alright, I hate to break up this touching moment, but we gotta go," Christopher said as his plans were to be back at Hogwarts that evening (hopefully with Jasper with him) if everything was okay.

But Christopher did have a feeling that Jasper would be at least staying a few more days.

Later, when Edgar was back in the house, now talking to Ethan and Francis about what he had to do to get in control of his magic (the two of them were actually quite interested and while Francis just listened intently, Ethan would ask questions about if he blew up a forest or flew through the air all of which Edgar would answer a no to), Christopher was outside with Jasper about what he was going to do next.

"Are you coming back with me or are you going to stay a couple of days to ensure little Odair is all well and good?"

Jasper nodded. "Staying for a couple of days. I will be back soon, I promise."

Christopher slowly nodded. "You sure everything is going to be okay? I don't wanna scare you, just wanna make sure things will be okay with your...dad."

"Things won't ever be okay with him, but once I help Edgar a little bit now that he knows how to control it...it should be better. We just gotta be careful."

Christopher sighed. "Ever thought of just going on the roof to get away from him?"

"What?"

"Eddie over there won't be completely okay with his magic, it takes time and one thing that causes outbursts is stress. Maybe if your siblings can take him out of the stressful situation...it could help a bit too. The roof."

"That's...I was going to say dangerous, but it is better than being inside with him."

Christopher wished he could just take all of them to Hogwarts with him. Maybe that stupid Butterbeer plan could have worked, maybe if they did it now...
