Tiningnan sila ni Zairus. "Wala akong load, ano 'yung impromptu?"

Napamura si Vincent. "You almost gave me a heart attack. Ga-graduate nalang tayo, ganiyan ka pa. Bigyan niyo ng load 'yan bago ko mabigyan ng pasa."

Lumapit si Luna sa kanila dahilan para tumahimik sila. Mukha kasi itong iritado kaya akala nila ay naiingayan sa kanila.

"Deth, lapitan mo nga si Xenor at ayusin ang buhok niya, wala na naman sigurong dala kahit suklay o di kaya tinatamad."

"Bakit ako, mahal?" Tanong ni Deth. Napatingin pa siya kay Xenor. Sure enough, Xenor looked like he had just rolled out of bed. His uniform was slightly messy, his hair pointed in different directions, and he was sitting with his sunglasses on.

Sa ilalim ng salamin ay ang mga matang nakapikit.

"Sige, ako nalang." Luna was about to walk toward Xenor when Deth quickly stood up and blocked her path.

"Bakit?" Mataray na tanong ni Luna.

"If Deth doesn't want to, then I'll do it!" Gavin eagerly volunteered, raising his hand.

"N-no, ako na," sabi ni Deth.

Tumango si Luna. Kumunot ang noo niya nang may mapansin siya sa mga kaibigan niya. "Si Denver? At kuya, nasaan?"

"Kung saan tahimik, bonus nalang pag madilim," sagot ni River na nagbabasa ng bagong bili niyang libro sa isang book fest na kanilang pinuntahan nina Warren.

"Hanapin niyo, nakakahiya baka may makakita sa kanila sabihing ginawang tulugan itong studio." Utos ni Stella na kararating lang kasama sina Eunice at Kian.

Just then, Ms. Kaila walked toward them with a warm smile.

"Do you guys have a problem?"

"No, ma'am," kabadong sagot ni Eunice.

"Just call me Ate Kaila," she corrected with a friendly smile before turning to the girls. "Anyway, girls, you can head upstairs now so we can start fixing your hair and makeup." She then looked at the boys. "Boys, only four of you will go up first. And don't worry, I know all of you traveled a long way to get here, so let the ones who are resting sleep for now. We'll do them last."

"T-Thank you, Ate."

Nang makaalis si Kaila, pinuntahan na ni Deth si Xenor dahil gising na rin ito.

"Hey, are you okay?" Tanong ni Deth nang makalapit siya rito.

Xenor pushed his sunglasses onto the top of his head and looked at him. "Yeah. Why did you ask?"

"Were you up all night because of Tita's birthday celebration?" Deth asked after noticing the exhaustion in Xenor's sleepy eyes.

"Yeah." Xenor chuckled softly. "Mom was so energetic last night. Nalasing sila ni tita."

Deth nodded with a small laugh. "How's your family? How's Elisse-Alfaiah I mean?"

Ever since the revelation, Deth had never gotten the chance to ask Xenor. Between taking care of their families and carrying his responsibilities as the SSG President, there had simply been no time. Pero gaya nang iba, the truth had shocked him, too.

"We're okay. After the DNA test and it was tested positive, Tita and Tito were overjoyed. Kagabi, they were even planning a special birthday celebration for Alfaiah."

A genuine smile spread across Deth's face. "How are you coping? We all know how much you hated her before... gaya ng iba sa atin."

Xenor leaned back and released a quiet sigh. "I've already accepted her as part of our family. Paunti-unti I'm learning to forgive her too. She always comes to me even when I ignore her sometimes. Honestly, I only talk to her whenever our parents are around."
