DETH'S P. O. V

I woke up with a splitting headache. My head felt unbearably heavy, at hirap din ako magmulat ng mga mata pero may naririnig akong boses na tumatawag sa akin.

"Deth! Deth, wake up!"

Nang tuluyan ko nang mamulat ang mga mata ko, unti-unting nanlaki ang mga mata ko dahil sa bumungad sa akin.

"Ku-"

He shot me a sharp look and subtly shook his head. Naintindihan ko agad ang sitwasyon namin.

I can't call him Kuya. Not now-doing so might give Eagle ideas we couldn't afford.

"Nasaan tayo?" I asked, slowly scanning our surroundings. We were inside an isolation room-bare, cold, and empty. No equipment. No furniture, bukod sa kinauupuan namin.

"I don't know," he said quietly. "But the last thing I remember, we were knocked out by that guy's men. He's probably one of Eagle's puppets."

"Could he be the leader of the Freaks?" I asked.

"It's not impossible."

Suddenly, we heard noise coming from the door.

"Pretend to be asleep," he ordered. I obeyed.

"Ano? Tulog pa rin sila? Akin na nga 'yan!"

Naramdaman ko ang unti-unting paglapit nila sa amin hanggang sa-

"What the fuck?!" I screamed as icy water was poured over me, just like they did to Kuya Hades. My body trembled violently from the cold.

"Gigising din pala kayo, eh, kailangan pang buhusan."

"Who the hell are you?" Kuya asked calmly, despite the situation.

"Who's stupid enough to introduce themselves to the people they kidnapped?" Tanong ng isa.

Kuya let out a slow, heavy sigh. "Useless."

The man's eyes widened, just like mine did, then suddenly the man's fist flew straight into Kuya's face. Punch after punch followed mercilessly.

"Hoy! Tigilan mo! You mother-" Bago ko pa man matuloy ang sasabihin ko, sinuntok na rin ako ng isa. Again. And again. He didn't even give me time to breathe between blows.

Then a loud crash echoed through the room. Something hit the floor, really hard. Kagagawan ito ng kapapasok lang na lalaki.

"What were you guys doing?! Wala pang inuutos si boss na gawin sa dalawang 'yan!"

"Eh masyadong mayayabang, pinatikim lang namin! Besides, they've taken down plenty of our men already." Paliwanag ng sumuntok kay Kuya Hades. Then he grabbed Kuya by the hair and yanked his head up. Kuya didn't flinch. He didn't blink. His face remained disturbingly indifferent.

"You-"

"Tigilan mo na 'yan sabi, e! Kapag may ibang plano si boss diyan at iba sa ginawa mo, malalagot kayo!" Saway ulit ng lalaki.

"Let go," the other man who punched me whispered urgently. "You know paano magalit si boss."

Still, the man's grip tightened. He was furious-clearly enraged by Kuya's complete lack of reaction.

"I said let go of him!"

He finally released Kuya's hair, throwing him aside and making him stagger.

"Magdasal-dasal ka na huwag ipatira ni boss. Dahil sa oras na bigyan kami ng pagkakataon para gawin ang kung anong naisin namin sa inyo, I won't hesitate to volunteer to make your life hell." Banta ng lalaki kay Kuya.
