"wait for me"

Everything that had happened in the past twenty minutes felt like a dream, Taehyung felt his mouth run dry and his hands begin to sweat.

He struggled to keep his mind from coming up with the worst case scenario, everything was fine, Jungkook simply had a flat tire and was waiting of on the side of the road somewhere , everything was fine.

He felt a painful ache in heart, why, why didn't he say anything when he left, why didn't contact him, why. He felt his head begin to pound painfully that his vision was becoming blurry, he felt as if he was running out of breath, he pulled over to the side of the road.

It was still raining but he got out of the car, he felt like he was suffocating. Up until now, he had not allowed himself for feel scared or anxious. When he spoke to his cousin and Jungkook's father, he tried his best to keep his composure, to not let the fear paralyse him.

He tried calling Jungkook's phone again but it wasn't going through,a couple of minutes later, he got back into the car and proceeded to drive. There were no cars on the road and even after an hour of driving there was no sign of Jungkook.

Jungkook slowly opened his eyes, he did not know how much time had passed but it was still dark all around him. He tried to wiggle out of his seat, but he was stuck.

After several attempts, he was finally free from his seat belt, ignoring the pain that he felt all over his body, he crawled out through the window. He looked around for his phone and when he found it, there was still no cell service.

The rain had gotten a lot lighter, so he walked around trying to find cell service, he paced back and forth around his car,but he still got nothing.

He decided to trying walking off the road, perhaps he could find a tree he could climb on, that might better his chances.

He used his phone to light the way but it was still hard to see where he was going, he tripped and fell a couple of times. Perhaps it was due to the cold or the fear he was refusing to acknowledge that he was not taking notice of how he was getting cut by the bushes.

He finally found a tree he could climb.

Once on top of the tree, he extended his arm as far as he could and finally to his luck, he got a bar on his phone.

"Oh, yes, finally" he said trying to lower the phone so he could make a phone call, but then the he lost service again.

"Oh, come on!" he screamed in frustrations.

"Jungkook!!"

Jungkook looked around startled, had he actually heard someone call his name?

"Jungkook!!"

He heard his name again, he was almost certain he was not hearing things.

"Over here" he shouted back, "over here!!" he tried to get down the tree as fast as he could, but he slipped at fell. His tried to get up, but his head was hurting so much it felt like pain was piercing all the way through his eyes.

He tried to look around for his phone but it was dark everywhere. He was struggling to move around and he could feel his head spinning, he rubbed his forehead in pain and found that he was bleeding, everything was becoming blurry, perhaps he had imagined the voice after all.

Taehyung kept calling Jungkook's name again but he wasn't answering anymore, he tried to follow the direction he heard his voice from and kept calling him.

The flash light he had was helpful but he still couldn't see him.

"Jungkook" he called
"Over here" a muffled reply came.

Taehyung stopped when he heard the faint voice, he called his name again, "I am coming, just- just hang on , I am coming" he hurried through the trees.

After what felt like forever, Taehyung found him, laying on the ground.

"Hey, Jungkook, are you okay?" Taehyung asked as he pulled him close, he felt his heart drop when he felt blood on his forehead.

Jungkook slowly opened his eyes, "hey, it's me, it's Taehyung, can you hear me?" with shaky hands, Taehyung tried to hold the flash light to show his face.

Jungkook had his eyes locked on him, it was dark and he couldn't see properly, but it was Taehyung, he was here.

"Are you hurt, are you okay?" Taehyung asked, gently and anxiously patting him all over.

Jungkook kept looking at him, following his every movement, he couldn't be certain of what he was seeing. "what happened?" Taehyung asked as he took of his jacket and covered Jungkook with it, he used the sleeve of his shirt to wipe the blood off his forehead.

"Can you walk?" Taehyung asked, Jungkook slowly nodded, "Okay,come on, lets go to the car, I think it will start raining again soon"

Taehyung helped Jungkook to his feet, but he had no strength left that he almost fell back to the ground but Taehyung caught him.

"It's okay, it's okay" Taehyung said picking him up and tried to move carefully back to the car.

He helped Jungkook unto the front seat and fastened his seat belt "I will be right back" he said, but Jungkook suddenly grabbed his sleeve. His eyes were pleading for Taehyung not to leave him, but he wasn't even sure if any of what was happening was real.

"I will only be a minute, I need to get your bag from the car okay- I promise I wont be long" Taehyung explained, Jungkook was unwilling, but he slowly let go of him.

Jungkook's car was right behind his, the sight had given him a huge fright when he first pulled up to the car. There was blood in the car and Jungkook was not in it.

He looked around and finally found the medical aid kit and Jungkook's other bag and then hurried back to the car.

Jungkook seemed like he was dozing off, "hey" Taehyung said brushing away hair from his face, "does it hurt anywhere?
"My head" Jungkook managed to reply
"It's okay ,we will be at the hospital soon, just hang in there okay"

Taehyung's hands were shaking and his heart was racing, he had to stay calm, but it was proving to be a difficult task.

He turned on the radio to contact Jimin since he had no cell service.

"I found him,, but he is hurt" Taehyung explained as he drove
"How bad, is he okay?" it was Jin who asked
"He must have hit his head because he says it hurts-"

The rain started to intensify, so much so that Taehyung could not hear anything over the radio. He had to turn it off, hoping that they will get cell service soon.

In less than thirty minutes of driving, they found that the road had been closed off, there were officers all over the place.

"You cannot proceed past this point" One of the man announced, Taehyung tried to explain, but it was no use because the rain had caused a storm that covered the road with trees and the road ahead was also blocked by an accident, they were advised not to continue driving because they risked getting into an accident.

One of the officers explained that there was a hotel ten minutes from where they were currently and it was their safest option at the moment.

Taehyung thanked them and started driving in a different direction. The drive took longer than twenty minutes because this road was also also covered in trees and branches and every few metres Taehyung would have to get out of the car and clear the road or drive around the obstacle.

They finally arrived at the hotel and finally what felt like the only good thing to happen in so long, they had cell service.

Taehyung asked for assistance to carefully get Jungkook to the room he managed to book. Unfortunately there was no medical personnel available even among the guests, the hotel could only offer their medical kit and have some of the staff assist in any way possible.

Jungkook was struggling to stay awake and Taehyung could not tell if it was because of the injury or he was simply tired.

He called Jimin back and explained to him and Jungkook's father about what was going on. Although there was still a lot to do, Taehyung felt a bit calm knowing Jungkook was safe.
