"I missed you"

There was more silence.

"I am sorry I came over this early, I could have called but I don't have your number" Taehyung explained.
"It's okay" Jungkook replied.

Taehyung has access to Jungkook's number, being his boss gave him access to that information, but he figured not simply get it without asking.

"So, do you mind if I got your phone number, to- to call you later, for the flight?" Taehyung asked. "Yes, of course" Jungkook said, while he fumbled with his pockets as if he had it somewhere in there, and then he stopped himself when he realized that he he didn't need look for it and proceeded to say it out loud.

"777-....."

"So, what time would you like to go to the airport?" Taehyung asked
"Since the flight is at three forty five, how about we get there two hours in advance" Jungkook suggested
"Sounds good" Taehyung replied.

Taehyung was about to say something when the there was a knock on the door. Jungkook went over to see who it was, it was Jackson.

"Ready to go?" Jackson asked, he had not seen Taehyung yet, "don't tell me you have been sleeping this whole time" he said as he walked in.

"No, I-" Jungkook tried to explain to Jackson who was now looking at Taehyung.

"Good morning sir" Jackson greeted Taehyung
"Good morning Mr. Wang" Taehyung responded.
"I will leave you two alone, excuse me" Taehyung said as he walked towards the door, "I will call you"  he said to Jungkook on his way out.

Some time later, thanks to Jackson, Jungkook was all packed up.

"So you are telling me that, he just so happens to be on the same flight as you?" Jackson asked with a hint of suspiscion
"Yes" Jungkook replied .
"Really?"
"Yeeeees"

"I mean, I also don't know" Jungkook said, not wanting to come up with any theories in his head.

"You know that your family will be waiting for you at the airport right, what are you goin to tell them?" Jackson asked. "Well I am hoping I don't have to tell them anything because we will each go our own ways when we land" Jungkook said as he threw his head on the bed.

"This actually isn't the first time we are seeing each other" Jungkook confessed.
"What, when did you see him?" Jackson asked.

"He was at the art gallery that we had, it was so crazy cause Haneul got lost and he somehow ended up with him, I was loosing my mind trying to find her and then I find her with him"

"Wait, wait, wait, what?" Jackson was so confused. Jungkook proceeded to tell him everything that happened that night.

"Do your parents know?" Jackson asked
"no, I didn't tell them"

"Does he know?"
"I- I don't know" Jungkook let out a deep sigh, "I don't even want to think about it" he said. Jackson knew when to stop, so he decided to change the subject.

"So about your make up project, did you get all the information?" he asked. "Yes I did, and I am really looking forward to it"  Jungkook said with a smile.

Because he was leaving the trip early, he would need to do a make up project to cover up for everything that he would miss. It will be one day trip to a small town out of Seoul where he has to host an art event with a few others. At first, he was not too thrilled about the idea, but once he got the details he was very excited.

The rest of the day went by quietly , oddly enough Jungkook found himself checking his phone hoping that Taehyung had texted him but somehow missed it, but there was nothing.

But time seemed to go by pretty fast because his alarm for when he had  to go the airport went off, and Taehyung texted.

"Hi, can we meet up in the lobby in five minutes? - Taehyung"

Jungkook read the text over and over, and just kept staring at his phone. He didn't know what to think, but he felt a lot of confusing emotions.

He had to remind himself that he didn't know how long Taehyung was going to be around, and he should be careful not ask questions knowing he might not like the answer. He had to be careful.

"Tae"

That's how he saved his name, but decided to go against it, it felt too personal and they weren't close enough for that, so he changed it.

"Mr. Kim. T"

And replied to the message, "yeah sure, I will see you in a bit".

Jungkook had one big suite case and smaller bag to take on the plane, Taehyung only had a bag to carry on the  plane.

"Let me" Taehyung said taking Jungkook's bigger bag. Before he could refuse, Taehyung was already headed outside to get in the car, so he just followed.

The drive to the airport was quite. Neither knew what to say so they both sat in silent.

Taehyung caught a glimpse of Jungkook's phone, he was looking at picture's and al lot of them were of his daughter.

"She's such a smart girl" he commented
"O, she sure is" Jungkook said with a smile

"Really, thank you again for finding her the other day, I don't know what I would have done"
"Don't mention it, she made the evening more fun" he replied

Then there was silence

"She actually instructed me on how to wash my hands after she used the bathroom and I was helping her" Taehyung said with a little laugh.
"O my goodness" Jungkook said covering his mouth feeling a little bit embarrassed but also very proud.
"She does that every time, I am sorry" Jungkook said with a chuckle.

They chatted a bit more about the evening, Taehyung  actually had his assistant buy all the paintings Jungkook had on display that night, but he decided to keep that to himself not wanting to make him uncomfortable.

Soon they arrived at the airport.

Without a second thought, Taehyung found himself doing everything for Jungkook, he checked his bag in and took him to the desk to do their check in  together. Jungkook just followed him, this was his first flight out of Korea so didn't mind the help.

Taehyung had actually managed to get Jungkook's seat upgraded to first class since it was going to be a long flight, he figured he might want to sleep.

"Comfy?" Taehyung asked when they got to their seats on the plane.
"Yes" Jungkook replied with a smile.

"But when did you get us into first class?" he asked, "it was nothing, don't worry about it" Taehyung replied.

Jungkook wanted to ask more, but decided not to, it was kind gesture from Taehyung and he didn't want to come off as ungrateful.

"Thank you" He said.

Taehyung noticed Jungkook yawning, "You should get some rest, it's going to be  a long flight". Jungkook nodded, he was in fact feeling tired.

He wiggled around in his bed before dozing off, a lot quicker than he usually does.

Taehyung watched him sleep for a few minutes when he noticed he didn't have his belt on, he adjusted it for him.

He sat back in his chair, replaying the events of the day up until this point, was Jungkook going out with Jackson, or are they just interested in each other? He had so many thoughts going through his head and it made him be frustrated with himself.

Why does he care, why should he care? it has been five years, he has moved on and so has Jungkook, so what he  does with his life should not concern him, he told himself to simply mind his business.

But he felt an ache in his heart , one that he was too familiar with and he hated it, he hated feeling this way.

"Did you miss me?"
