Still falling for you

Jungkook's parents had excused themselves and took Haneul with them, "we will be back later okay" Joon said before kissing Jungkook on the forehead and heading out.

"I am sorry I didn't mean to interrupt" Baekhyung said, "o don't worry about it, it's okay" Jungkook said.

"I am glad that you are doing better now" 
"Thank you, it wasn't too bad"
"Are you trying to be modest?" Baekhyung teased, this made Jungkook laugh a little.

"I also wanted to give you this" Baekhyung said taking out an ID from his wallet, it was Moon's ID, "oh, he really gave it to you" Jungkook said accepting it, "I am really sorry you had to go through so much trouble",
"it was no trouble at all, I got to meet a celebrity thanks to you"
 "well in that case, you are welcome" Jungkook said.

The two continued to chat for a little while, Jungkook was surprised to hear that the news of his accident had travelled so fast. "I am really glad that you are okay" Baekhyung said while taking Jungkook's hand in his, Jungkook was taken aback by the action.

"I like you " Baekhyung blurted out.

"I- I know, this is definitely not the time or place for this, but I couldn't- I didn't even plan on telling you now" Baekhyung explained. Jungkook was still silent.

"You don't have to answer me now, take as much time as you need to think about it" Baekhyung said with a small smile.

"Baekhyung I-" Jungkook tried to speak
"Don't say anything now" Baekhyung said.

There was a knock at the door.

Taehyung could not hear what they were talking about, but through the glass on the door, he saw Baekhyung holding Jungkook's hand. He had planned to walk away but a nurse passing by told him to go in "he is finally awake" she assumed he was hesitant because he thought he might be disturbing.

"Come in" Jungkook said while removing his hand from Baekhyung 's.

Earlier that day, Jimin informed Taehyung that Jungkook was allowed to have visitors, "are you going to see him?' he asked, "Yeah, I will drop by" Taehyung replied.

Taehyung had been awfully quite since the accident, Jimin was not sure what kind of reaction he expected but it was not what he was seeing. He was however revealed that it seemed like Taehyung was not consumed by Jungkook's world and he appeared to be keeping good enough distance between them, it was good for him. 

Taehyung stared getting ready after Jimin left his room.

He didn't want to make any conclusions about what happened that night, perhaps Jungkook mistook him for someone else, and if not, they have to talk about it. Because why would he say that, when he was the one that left?

For the past two days he had been trying not to let his mind spiral, Jin had contacted Jimin to inform him that Jungkook's condition was stable but he needed to rest so he was not allowed visitors yet. 

Now as he stood watching someone else caress Jungkook's hand, he felt conflicted and found himself regretting having come at all.

"I am sorry I didn't mea to interrupt, I can come back later" Taehyung said.
"No, it's fine, I was just leaving" Baekhyung said standing up "I will see you later okay" he said to Jungkook , "excuse me" he said as he closed the door.

There were flowers on Jungkook's lap,  Taehyung wondered if they were from the guy that just left. On his way he wanted to pick up some flowers but decided against it, he felt it was a very personal gesture that might not be well received.

"Please take a seat" Jungkook said shifting in his bed to sit up straight  a placing the flowers aside. "Thank you" Taehyung replied as he sat down, "how are you feeling?" he asked. "A lot better" Jungkook replied.
