Chapter 37

Calum's pov:

It was already two days later and we had about 10 more days left with Shannon which isn't that much if you think about it, so we decided to make the best out of it.

I'm going to try to be romantic today and remake Shannon and I's first date, you know the corn maze dunkin donuts think, yeah that.

I bound down the stairs to see Michael making out with Summer in the kitchen. Ew.

I quickly change my direction towards the tv room and see Ashton making out with Erika in there. IT'S A KISSING APOCALYPSE.

I change my plans of where to go again and just go to the backyard to find Luke sitting alone in a hammock by the pool just staring at the water while hugging Pengy.

"Hey Luke are you alright, what are you doing out here?" I ask sitting down next to him.

"I'm fine," he mumbles, hiding his face in the large stuffed penguin.

"No you're not, seriously what's wrong?" I sigh and with great struggle take the penguin out of his hands.

"NO PENGY!" he screams reaching out to try and grab the stuffed penguin form me, but then I give him a look. "Okay fine. You all have girlfriends and I don't, I haven't kissed anybody in like a million years, like since dinosaurs were still alive."

"Oh."

"It just sucks, I want somebody to love me and cuddle with me while kissing me," he frowns. crossing his arms over his chest.

Without thinking I lean in and plant a kiss on Luke's soft lips and to my surprise he kisses back.

Wait shit what did I just do. Once I realize what I did I pull away and stand up tangling my fingers in my hair.

"Fuck, that never happened, please don't tell Shannon, no homo," I spit out frustrated at my sudden actions.

"O-oh, yeah I won't tell anyone, no homo," Luke says quietly, grabbing the penguin back from the spot I left it on the hammock. Wait did he actually enjoy that? I better not make this worse.

"I-I'm gonna go back inside, don't stay out here too long you'll get burnt," I say, suddenly feeling like a mother and trying to say anything to avoid the situation at hand.

Luke just nods in response and I can see the frown on his face, but ignore it and go back inside. Once I get in the door I almost run into Shannon.

Oh no did she see?

"Oh hey Calum I was just looking for you," she smiles, standing on her tip toes to give me a quick peck on the lips. I just stare at her and try to calm down my shaking hands and racing heart.

"Hi," I reply trying to smile a bit.

"Do you want to get some breakfast, I kicked Michael and Summer out of the kitchen and they went to Michael's room so nobody knows what they could be doing," she chuckles, her green eyes shining with happiness.

"Yeah, sure I could go for some food," I reply a nervous chuckle leaving my lips.

We get into the kitchen and just grab some pop tarts before eating in silence.

"Do we have anything planned for today?" Shannon asks, cocking her head to the side and scrunching up her little nose, which is adorable, I like her, I like girls, I don't like Luke, I don't like boys in that way.
