Chapter 24

Shannon's pov:

We get to the venue and Ashton has been trying to tell jokes the whole ride over to make me laugh.

He knows I'm upset, just not the reason why.

"How are cats on the beach and Christmas the same?" Ashton smiles leaning over to me on the couch.

"Don't know don't care," I reply monotone.

"BECAUSE THEY BOTH HAVE SANDY CLAWS. YOU GET IT????"

"Did you ju-"

"Yes, yes I did."

I raise my eyebrow at him and then slump down on the couch some more.

"What's wrong Shan Shan?" He pouts.

"Did you just call me Shan Shan?" I angrily laugh. Ashton nods and I roll my eyes and stand up not wanting to communicate with any living things at this point and time. I walk into the hallway and start going somewhere, anywhere away from people.

I don't pay attention to my surroundings and eventually run into something and fly backwards.

"Ow my ass!" I yell frustrated as I sit up on the floor. I look up and see somebody I wasn't expecting to see...

Ashton's pov:

"Hey Michael, what's wrong with Shannon?"

"Ca-" he starts, but cuts himself off, "Her dog Callie just died, her mom called."

"Oh, they have a dog?" I reply confused.

"Had."

"Oh."

Michael coughs to break the silence and runs off somewhere.

That was awkward.

Erika sits next to me and starts to scroll through Twitter.

"Did you know Shannon's dog Callie died today?" I ask curiously.

"What? What dog?" She says confused looking at me.

"Michael said tha-"

"Oh. Well have a good show I need to pee," Erika stands up.

"Wait!" I say and she turns around. "Why does it rain?"

"Because of some science shit.

"No. Clouds gotta piss! AhahahAHhHAhaHAhahHahA."

She gives me some weird look and walks away. So sweet.

Shannon's pov:

"Alexander William fucking Gaskarth," I stare in shock.

"So I have another middle name now... fucking. I like that," he laughs.

I stare at him with my mouth wide open.

"Fan huh?"

I nod and Alex reaches his hand down to me and helps me up. I just touched Alex Gaskarth's hand. HOLY SHAZAM.

"You can let go of my hand now," Alex says awkwardly.

"Sorry, sorry," I cough pulling my hand away. "So... why are you here?"

"To surprise the 5sos boys. You know Ashton, Michael, Luke, and Ca-"

"Calum, yeah I know them," I snap. He jumps at my sudden outburst. "Shit. Sorry, sorry. Ashton's my cousin and Calum, well he's an asshole."

"Did you two da-"

"Yes."

It's silent for a second until Alex speaks up.
