Chapter Nine
Blake’s P.O.V
I’m not going to lie, this baby thing had freaked me out, but I was just so happy to have Tara back, I didn’t even care that much… right now anyway. I mean at this moment in time we are making out while in the library. We’re meant to be waiting for Alex, but she was taking to long and before I know it Tara and I are enjoying ourselves more than usual. I pulled away from Tara’s lips and brought up my hand and moved her away. I went to lean back in and kiss her, but she moved away from me.
“What?” I asked her.
“We need to talk about this baby thing,” Tara whispered.
I sighed and she moved slightly back into her chair and then took my hand.
“We can work through it,” I told her.
“I know,” she nodded. “Well, I know now anyway. Thanks to Zeke.”
“He was really nice to help us. I can’t believe Alex went off at him like that,” I muttered.
“I know… but she’s still angry at him… so give her time. I mean, she probably will never not be angry at him, but she might be less angry at him,” Tara shrugged.
I just looked at her for a moment. She smiled at me slightly but then sighed and I sighed too.
“Why don’t you want to at least have the baby? You don’t have to keep it,” I pointed out.
“I know,” Tara whispered, “I just don’t want to carry it around in my stomach and have people judge me.”
“You’ve never cared what anyone has thought of you before, why now?” I asked.
She sighed and tightened her grip on my hand. “I’m not that girl anymore, Blake; you know that, I’ve changed. I care what people think.”
“Well, I think the only person that you should care what they think of you is me, and I love you,” I told her calmly.
She smiled slightly, looking down. “I hate when you’re right.”
“So that means....” I said slowly.
“We’ll look into adoption, okay?” she muttered.
“Okay,” I nodded. “Thank you.”
She sighed. ‘You’re lucky I love you too.”
She leant up and kissed me again, but we didn’t get very far because the sound of a heavy weight of books hitting the table scared the hell out of both of us. We bother turned to see none other than Alex.
“I’m happy for you two and all,” she told us, “but I seriously forgot how annoying it was for you two to be together.”
I laughed at her. “
“Someone isn’t in a great mood. Still mad at Zeke?” Tara asked
“I’m always mad at Zeke,” she said, sitting down.
“Not before he left you weren’t,” Tara muttered.
I noticed the death stare Alex gave Tara then.
“What?” Tara asked, slightly annoyed, putting her pen down. “Well, its true... you were making ou-.”
“I’d stop talking if I were you,” Alex interrupted.
Tara and I just rolled our eyes at her.
We studied for a little while, I could hear Paramore playing out of Alex’s earphones... she didn’t care that nearly everyone else could hear them. That was the one thing that hadn’t changed about her, and I was kind of glad.
