Chapter Forty Four

I hate dresses... I hate this dress. I hate theses shoes. I hate this make-up on my face... I hate it all, but it was all for the name of my sister. I’m not going to bore anyone with the whole ceremony. Claire looked beautiful in her dress, and it took a long time o get through it all and I was standing there in those ridiculous shoes the whole time practically staring at Zeke the whole time.

When it was all over and they were officially married we had to get to the reception. I had to be there first so I got there ten minutes before everyone else and was walking down the hall and was suddenly pulled aside.

I found myself in a small closest in the world, with my back pinned up against the wall and a warm breath near my neck.

“I missed you last night,” Zeke whispered.

“I know. Zeke,” I complained as he started to kiss my neck.

“Hmm,” was his only response?

“We can’t...” I had to breathe for a second. “We can’t do this in a closest.”

“Why not?” he asked me, as he kissed my cheekbone.

“For one, it’s unsanitary... and two, my sister just got married, and it’s so... so not the place,” I said, trying my best to resist him.

“Doesn’t mean you don’t want to,” he muttered.

“Zeke,” I said, grabbing is head and pulling it to my level. “I love you, but I need go sort this out... Claire will kill me if it’s a disaster.”

“I know,” Zeke nodded, “but... you look amazing, and you have no idea how hard it is to keep me hands off you.”

“And you have no idea how hard it is to keep me away from you,” I whispered. “This is just really bad timing.”

“I know,” he said, putting his lips close to mine. “But no one will notice you’ve been missing for like five minutes.”

I smiled slightly and Zeke kissed me. I felt his hand, ruffle my dress slightly and I put my hands near mine and pushed them down slightly.

“Maybe not five minutes,” I said cautiously.

“Harriet has it under control doesn’t she?” he asked.

“Zeke, it’s about my sister... that’s what’s worrying me... she’ll notice I’m missing... and then they’ll notice you’re missing... people will make things up...” I tried to explain.

“Okay, okay, I get it. You’re stressed and you don’t need the extra stress. But can you blame for trying to grab one second with my secret girlfriend, who I love deeply?” he asked me.

“No... Of course not... we just can’t though. I need to go,” I said.

I had to push past him to get out of the closest, but that wasn’t like it would suddenly be the end of it. I was very aware he was following and I kind of expected it.

“Is there anything I can do to help?” he asked.

“Not really,” I admitted.

“Are you now mad at me for trying to seduce you, are you?” he asked me slowly.

“No,” I sighed, and turned around and grabbed his hand. “Quickly.”

I pulled him in through the giant doors of the small little kind of church that was in this building . I shut the doors behind me and turned to face him and sighed.

“What?” he frowned.

I walked up to him and put my hands on his chest and he frowned at me slightly and I sighed again. I looked up at him and then kissed him, and felt him kiss me back.
