She pushed the squeaky cart down the aisles of the grocery store slowly and lost in thought. It had been two months since they left. He trailed along sullenly behind her. Things hadn't gotten any better. Rapmon barely opened his mouth, or moved. He just sat on the couch mostly. J-Hope went out everyday, and no one knew where. No one cared to ask. Jin mostly just locked himself in his room and cried, sometimes he would venture out into the kitchen for ice cream but never farther. Jungkook paced around the house and yelled at everyone to do something. But no one ever listened. He didn't even listen to himself, he was too sad and angry. And Jimin just tried. He tried to do something. Get Rapmon to talk. Get J-Hope to stay home. Get Jin out of his room. Get Jungkook to stop yelling. That's all he ever did, something for someone else. Keeping the focus away from himself so he wouldn't feel the pain. She knew that feeling. She clenched her fists and kept pushing the cart, and looked for bread.
He was the worst. He just trailed behind her wherever she went. Only speaking when he needed to. Only doing things that were necessary. He hugged her, and kissed her, and cradled her to sleep. He talked to her, and comforted her, but never more than needed. And he didn't cry anymore. He had cried, before. But now, there was nothing. Only a stone hard glance. His eyes softened when he looked at her, but only because he knew it was necessary. His eyes didn't feel like home anymore. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath and focused on finding the bread. Not now, later.
She grabbed the bread off the shelf and looked in the cart. Now they just needed...juice. She straightened herself up. Something felt odd. She looked behind her. No one was there. Where was he? He had stopped following her. She furrowed her brow and began to walk down the aisles looking for him. She wished they still had their phones. But those were a risk. She groaned inwardly and continued down the aisles. This was a big store. He could be anywhere. They bought whole sale so they didn't have to go out much. Maybe she should just go back to the loft and meet him there. No, he had the money. They were out of food.
"Where are you?" She whispered to herself. Then she felt a hand clamp down over her mouth.
She grabbed the person's arm frantically and kicked their shins.
"It's me!" He hissed. She relaxed into him, feeling his familiar slim form beneath her.
"Be quiet." He murmured and took his hand away from her mouth. She turned around at glared at him patronizingly. What did he think he was doing?
"There are four of them. They've been following us since we got in the store. I split off and only one stayed with you. He's down at the end of the aisle. The other three are four aisles over, right where I left them. Leave the stuff. We need to leave. Now." He whispered quickly, grabbing her wrist and pulling her quickly towards the exit of the store. She followed rapidly and they ran out onto the street.
"Yakuza?" She asked. He nodded and glanced behind him.
"Shit." He cursed and pulled her down the street, in the opposite direction of the loft. She followed obediently, catching up with him quickly.
She thought they had left the Yakuza behind. What were they doing here?
