"How'd it go?" She mumbled, pulling her knees up to her chest. Rapmon sat down at the edge of the bed.
"Not well." He sighed.
"What'd they say?" She asked, wringing her hands apprehensively.
"J-Hope said I disgusted him and he left. Jimin just left. And Jungkook asked me who I thought I was." He grumbled.
"Did they say anything about me?" She murmured.
"Well...what they said...was directed at the both of us." He scratched his head awkwardly. She nodded,
"I see. Did you tell them about Jin?" He shook his head,
"We don't even know if Jin is serious. We have to talk to him first."
"What if Jin won't talk to us?" She sighed.
"Then...we'll prepare for the worst I guess." He shrugged and fell back onto the bed. She nodded and slipped back under the blankets and laid down.
"Are you going to sleep again?" He sighed. She pulled the blankets up higher. He stood and kissed her forehead before leaving. She wished so desperately that he wouldn't do things like that. She didn't know how to say no, and she didn't want to. It was comforting, but she loved Suga. She loved Suga.
She stretched and yawned. She sat up and stretched some more. Her eyes were hot and dry from crying. She looked at the time, it was only 7. She wanted to go back to sleep, but she was forced up with a crippling hunger. She groaned and stood, she got up and made herself some toast. She ate it quickly so she could go back to bed. She should probably change first though. She hadn't changed in a while. She washed her dishes and padded over to her door. A glinting chain caught her eye. She furrowed her brow and pulled the chain off the door knob. She recognized it even before her fingers touched the tree pendant. She felt tears well in her eyes. This wasn't hers. It wasn't broken. Hers was on the bedside table. She pushed the door open and collapsed against it. She shoved the door closed with her back and held the necklace to her heart. This was his father's necklace, the matching pair to the one she had, his mother's. Why would he just give it back? He loved that necklace. Despite what it was meant to them, she thought he would still keep it. Did he hate her that much now? The thought made her shudder, shaking free a few skimpy tears. She wanted to cry, but she didn't have anything left to cry. She kicked her leg out at the air, kicking nothing. Always. Struggling, but never doing any damage. Helpless.
She pulled on some clothes hastily and put on his necklace. She grabbed hers and slipped it into her pocket. She stalked out of the apartment and hopped on a bus. She was going back. She found a small shop and dropped off the necklace to be fixed. While she was waiting, she went to all their favorite places. First she watched the wave crash on their beach. Then she sat beneath their tree. Then she watched the willow blow over their pond. Then she traces the beautiful graffiti on their underpass. She needed to go back to the planetarium. She needed to do it. She clenched her fists and tried to make it to the school before it closed. She needed to find his star. She sprinted along the streets and ignored he stabbing cramp in her side. She kept running. She couldn't stop. She skidded into the school just as the bell rang for lunch. She wasn't in uniform. She would stick out like a sore thumb, but she didn't care. She pushed through the crowd rudely, pushing and shoving. A salmon swimming upstream.
"Nari!" Luhan's voice called out to her faintly. She ignored it and continued on. Eunsuh grabbed her arm.
"Nari!" Eunsuh yelled. She wrenched her arm away.
"Nari!" Sumi and Seungah screamed at her. She shoved them away and ran to the library. She slammed into the door and it banged open. She ran through the library, ignoring the screaming librarian. She sprinted into the planetarium and locked it. She shut off the lights and turned on the stars.
She cried out in pain. The stitch in her side throbbed painfully. What was left of her heart exploded with pain. She gasped in pain and collapsed onto the floor. She couldn't catch her breath. She dry sobbed and choked on air. Her vision darkened at the edges and she flailed out hopelessly. Then she caught sight of it. The faint, blinking light that was his star. Everything was still. Nothing else mattered but that silly, little light. She clamped a hand to her mouth and sobbed happily. She stood up, slowly, weakly and limped to the podium. She must've hurt her ankle too because it was throbbing. She laid down and looked up at the stars. She smiled at the little star. She was hysterical. It all came back to the same question she had when she had first seen him. How could one boy do this much damage? She wasn't the same without him. She was stronger. She was healthier. She was happier. No matter what state their relationship was in, she was always better with him. Fighting or not. She needed him. That was why she took him back the first time. That's why she flew off the handle when he left. That's why she was here now. She needed that bastard. She breathed heavily and closed her eyes. She pictured his face. Every curve. Every surface. Every dip. Every pore. Everything. He made her who she was. She didn't have a reason to do anything without him. Every part of her life now was something she did because she needed him. He had said that she was more beautiful than his star. That was only because he made her beautiful. She didn't know what to do. She was just a mess of emotions and hurt. She was sure of about two things:
She was nothing without him, and she might have lost him forever.
