He stood in front of Daichi's desk, battered and bruised, but smiling wider than ever.
"So. Have you taken care of my little problem?" Daichi asked excitedly.
"Yes sir. I even got something you might want." He smirked, setting down a flash drive and a small backpack.
"What's this?" Daichi asked.
"The video clip they blackmailed you with. The money they took, and evidence that could put them all in jail. If any of them ever make it there." He explained, slightly proudly. Daichi smiled,
"How did you know?"
"I figured. They were trying to hide it." Suga shrugged.
"This is exactly it! I didn't even tell you to get this!" Daichi stood and clapped him on the back.
"Well, to be honest I was just curious and I watched it. And I looked through all the stuff. Sorry." He wasn't really sorry.
"No, no it's fine. I'm glad you did!" Daichi laughed and grabbed the flash drive.
"You should disable the cameras in here when you do stuff like that." He chuckled. Daichi laughed with him and came around to hug him. Suga was surprised at the gesture. Daichi gave him a big, heart, fatherly hug. Fatherly. He had never associated that word with Daichi. Or anyone else for that matter. It felt...nice.
No. He couldn't think like that. Daichi did this to them. He needed to do this. He needed to do this so J-Hope could be with his real family. So Jungkook could live like a normal kid. So Rapmon could finally stop worrying. So Jimin and Eunsuh could raise their baby like a proper family. So Jin could be with Misook. And Nari. So Nari could live...so she could be, happy. Daichi let him go and marveled at the flash drive. Suga probably could've used it, but that didn't solve any of their problems. Daichi would never keep his word. Daichi needed to be permanently taken care of. That was evident now.
"You definitely need a promotion. I want to see you Tuesday. Nine o'clock. Don't worry about working tomorrow. You need the day off." Daichi laughed and shook his hand vigorously.
"Thank you sir." He laughed.
"Go home! Have some beer. I'm going to." Daichi laughed heartily and shooed him away. He waved and left, nearly running out of the building. He did it. It was almost over.
He burst into the apartment, and ran into their room. She jumped up and looked at him in surprise.
"What?" She asked, setting down a book. He grabbed her hands in his and held them tightly.
"What is it?" She chuckled.
"It's over. I'm in. It's almost over. For good." He smiled breathlessly.
"What?" She gasped.
"I'm in. Just a few more weeks. Maybe just days and it'll all be over." He grabbed her roughly and squeezed her. She gripped the fabric of his shirt in her fists and hugged him to her.
"Finally." She sobbed happily. He nodded and kissed her cheek clumsily.
"Finally, you can be safe. You can have a normal life." He could barely contain himself.
"We. We can have a normal life." She corrected him.
"Together?" He mumbled.
"I tried it without you. It doesn't work very well." She laughed. He buried his face in her neck and held her.
They didn't say anything else. They didn't have to
