He stretched and yawned as he entered the apartment. It was early he didn't expect anyone to be up. But Rapmon was. He looked pretty bad. His shoulders were hunched and his head was in trembling hands. Jin knew something had happened. He had had a churning pit in his stomach. He sat down beside Rapmon heavily.
"What happened?" He sighed.
"I fucked up Jin. I fucked up so bad." Rapmon whispered. Jin put an arm around Rapmon's shoulders.
"It can't be that bad." He reassured his old friend.
"It is." Rapmon murmured.
"Tell me. I'll be the judge of that." Jin insisted. Rapmon took a deep breath and launched into his story. When Rapmon finished, Jin took his arm off of his shoulders and stood.
"It is that bad." Jin whispered harshly. How could Rapmon and Nari do that? Have they not seen Suga? They were so selfish.
"You were his best friend." He murmured.
"I know. But you have to understand, I didn't want to do that! I didn't mean to!" Rapmon argued in his defense.
"What you meant to do doesn't matter! It's what you did that matters! How could you do that?" He yelled. The door to Nari's bedroom opened and she stepped out.
"Jin-" she began, but shut her mouth.
"If it was me. I would never forgive either of you." He fumed. This was his job. Suga protected them all, and he was supposed to keep Suga from falling apart. How could Rapmon do that? How could Nari?
"I'm sorry." Nari murmured.
"I thought you loved him. I guess you didn't love him enough." Jin shook his head.
"This is my fault don't-" Jin cut Rapmon off,
"This is your fault." Jin agreed, then continued, "Nari, why are you here? If you loved Suga, this wouldn't have happened. You're both worthless. I can't believe you fucking...it's just so...I don't have the fucking words to describe how fucked up this is. He probably came to work things out. That's what Suga does. And you two, I thought you two were trustworthy. I guess fucking not." Jin criticized them harshly and spat his words at them like acid.
"Jin." Rapmon murmured. Nari was crying silently. If he was honest, Jin didn't give two shits what Nari was doing. He didn't care what they had to say next either.
"Try to keep your dick in your pants while I'm gone." Jin growled and turned away from them. How long were they going to need him to babysit them?
He stalked on to the docks. This is where they always met right? He saw a group of men clumped together by a green carton. He slipped into the shadows and approached them so he could hear them.
"Where's Suga?" One asked.
"He doesn't feel well." Another yawned.
"Well I don't feel well. Can I go home?" Another whined.
"Shut up Koga." The voice sounded familiar.
"Fuck you Tadashi." Koga growled.
"I'm the leader. What I say goes. Now shut the fuck up and get the job done!" Tadashi yelled.
"What about you?" The first one asked.
"I'm gonna stay back for this one. You guys can handle it." Tadashi shooed them away. Jin waited until the footsteps receded before he grabbed Tadashi and pulled him back into the shadows. He slammed Tadashi against the carton and held a knife to his neck.
"Where's Suga?" He growled.
"Easy. Easy. Who are you?" Tadashi asked calmly.
"I'm a friend of Suga's, now where is he?" Jin threatened.
"He's at my place. I'll take you there, just let me get to my car." Tadashi tried to calm him. Jin grabbed him and kicked him to the ground. Tadashi didn't move.
"Give me your gun." Jin growled. Tadashi stood slowly and put his hands up. He carefully took out his gun and threw it at Jin. Jin kicked it away and pushed Tadashi along.
"Let's go."
Tadashi drove like a maniac, and Jin had to hide his uneasiness. He gripped his seat and pressed his back against the seat. He took a deep breath and forced his eyes open.
"I want in." He mumbled.
"Huh?" Tadashi looked over at him in shock.
"Look at the road!" He yelled. Tadashi slammed on the brakes, then looked back at Jin.
"What?" Tadashi asked again.
"Whatever it takes. Get me in the Yakuza. Get me in with Suga. Make sure I stay by him. Whatever you have to do. Just do it." Jin ordered. He knew what he was doing. But it was better this way. Things would be better, go smoother. He clenched the seat tighter, he wouldn't leave her. Not again, he just wouldn't be able to spend as much time with her. That's all.
"Alright." Tadashi agreed. Jin nodded. This was what he had to do. For Suga, for Misook, for everyone. He could still see her. Just not all the time, just not constant.
That's all.
