She listened sadness as Rapmon and Suga fought.
"What the fuck is going on in there?" Rapmon screamed.
"Get the fuck away from me Rapmon!" Suga screeched.
"What the hell is wrong with you?" Rapmon yelled.
"What does it matter? I'm making sure we stay together! Isn't that what you want?" Suga asked indignantly.
"There's no point if we lose you!" Rapmon argued.
"Don't worry about me. There's nothing that can happen to me now." Suga growled.
"Then what about Nari? What are you doing to her?" Rapmon asked, she was surprised to hear her name.
"I don't know!" Suga hollered in frustration.
"Then why is she yelling and screaming that you don't love her. What did you do?" Rapmon screamed in irritation.
"What does it matter to you? She's not your girlfriend!" Suga yelled. Rapmon was silent.
"I see." Suga laughed, "You want her to be your girlfriend." She could see Suga shaking his head.
"No!" Rapmon denied it immediately.
"She's my girlfriend! And I love her no matter what the rest of you shit heads think! Fuck you Rapmon and the horse you rode in on!" Suga screamed at the top of his lungs. There was silence after that.
"I think you should go." Rapmon growled coldly.
"No problem." Suga agreed. She stood.
"Hey. Tadashi. Yeah. My room mate...yeah. I'll be there in a few." Suga hung up the phone. She walked out into the living room.
"Please don't go." She whimpered. He looked at her and the hardness in his eyes wavered. He walked over to her slowly and kissed her forehead.
"I'll be back tomorrow morning to check on you. I love you okay? No matter what. I just need some time." He whispered so only she could hear. He kissed her cheek and he turned away. He said nothing else. He just left.
She plopped down on the couch and everyone went back to their bedrooms except for Rapmon. She wondered if she had lost him, or maybe something awful had happened. Maybe he saw something awful, or they made him do something. What could they have made him do? She just wanted to fall asleep in his arms again. Joke around with him. Kiss him, and not like earlier. Like before, when he hadn't been in the Yakuza. When things were okay.
"I'm sorry." Rapmon muttered.
"It's fine." She shrugged him off.
"I was just so mad at him, for treating us like we were invisible, and for making you feel like that." He mumbled. She sighed and scooted over to him. She put her arm around his shoulders.
"He's different now." She whispered and laid back against the couch.
"Everything's different now." He sighed.
"I want them to go back. I want him back." She murmured, her voice trembling.
"Yeah, me too. But things just can't be that way anymore. Some things have to change." Rapmon sounded so sad. She rested her head on his shoulder.
"What happened? Where did it all go wrong?" She asked.
"If I knew, I'd go back and fix it." He promised.
"That's the problem. Everyone's trying to fix things on their own. Suga thinks he's the only one that can fix it, because he thinks it was his fault. And Jin blamed himself for Misook. And I'm sure you blame yourself too. None of us can do this alone, we need to do this together. But it's too late now. Suga's trying to save something that's not there anymore." She whimpered.
"I think deep down he knows that, all of us do. But he also knows that you'll be there, that's why he's still doing it. He can't go back now, and at least he can do it for you now." Rapmon muttered.
"I want him to come home. I want to go home." She cried out.
"We all do. If we had homes to go to." Rapmon put his arm around her shoulders and they sat in silence until they fell asleep.
She knew her home was still there. Somewhere.
